On my original post i tried using something more flexible but it just had a hard time keeping shape, didn't want it to fall down and hit the drive shaft. I was lucky to have a automotive exhaust heat shield off a hyundai laying around that just need a little modifying. Sofar its holding up pretty nice. I will say dont rely on the tape to hold it in place, I drilled some holes through the heat shield and in to the center floor board/hump, then used plastic push pins to hold into place. The tape just allowed for a better seal.

ZForce 950/1000 Sport & EX / Dr Pulley weights
September 16, 2021, 08:49:57 AM
I've done the 18 gram weights and spring and re clock to my clutch and it is a marked improvement over stock. What I'm wanting to do is locate a Dr Pulley weight kit part number . If its just metal weights than its no better than what I have already, but most of the Dr Pulley stuff I've seen comes as one piece with weights and slider all together, just not sure if that's the case on this model. looking for input and part numbers, thank you

I did the lube the pins trick and it worked great, until I wanted to see how fast my 950 would go and when I hit about 65 the hood flew off, so be careful LOL

I have not found anyone talking about the heat problem in the passenger compartment for the 950 sport , so I hope this helps someone. Everyone I'm sure is getting heat from the shifter and the parking brake area , along with the dash and pedal area. What I see is happening is when the cooling fan comes on it forces heat downward toward the driveshaft tunnel bouncing off the skid plate and up toward the center counsel. So what I have done is install a heat shield under the center counsel and above the driveshaft. I got the heat shield off a late model Hyundai that goes between the body and the exhaust, nothing fancy just a 2 1/2 foot tunnel shaped shield. Then I drilled several 1/2 in holes in the skid plate to allow for the heat to escape.  With the heat shield on and the skid plate removed there is not heat at all coming from the center counsel. This week I will be going out riding and I will see how big of an improvement it made, I will be reinstalling the skid plate for sure. I still get some heat from the firewall area but it is definitely a marked improvement .

I have also put some high density foam under the hood just behind the the switches , kind of like a firewall. I hope the pictures help

I installed the skid plate and drove around till the fan came on, and Im super happy with the results, I have improved the heat in the passenger compartment by around 90%, I cant wait to get it on the trails!!!
