CForce 500 / Re: heavier rear shocks

Finally got shocks on, put 1 1/2 spacers in, tires on and way happier, still has some flex in coils and no squat some lift in front but i can live with it, gonna live with the crack in swaybar just keep an eye on it. put some white fingernail polish on both end of crack to see if it changes

yeah but you would think they would have some info on parts, i can find lots of pics of these shocks when i google the part num but no real info im afraid it could turn out to be chineesium but they do have a cfmoto part num on package, in the process of all this i found that the right side of the rear sway bar has an almost 3/4 in crack longways where it tapers to meet the link, we dont really trail ride most all in town heel my ride is a 2012 and we just turned 200 miles

I have been sending emails to alpha sports and no response from them on info in the difference between the shocks, they have the same part num but appears to be thicker coils and less wraps. it has adjustable collar rings with a threaded body so i guess thats for adj preload. google hasnt yielded any serious info about the shocks only pictures i pulled the trigger on a pair from ebay and i am debating putting on apipe spacer to get the preload up more. the squat is rubbing my tires, i just flipped my rear hubs and put 1 in spacers on with a set of kanati mongrels on, may take the spacers off

April 24, 2020, 09:40:57 PM
Oh boy i am looking to find a heavier pair of rear shocks, i have 500 lbs of humans and im getting too much squat. There isnt much space between the coils as it is, so i am considering doing a pipe spacer. Any suggestions?
