Quote from: Workhardplayhard on July 26, 2018, 12:35:27 PMOfcourse... how come I didn't think of that on my own. Especially that they were changed a few hundred km ago. You might be my saviour. So the "shorter end" of the hub should be facing up?
Has anyone flipped the hubs? I started to flip mine to get a little over 1" lift but it was rubbing the wheels like that so I didn't run it that way.

CForce 500 H.O./550 / 550 Switches
December 16, 2016, 04:12:21 PM
Has anyone mounted switches, light bars, relays, wires etc... on their Cforce 550? Where did you put the switches? Where is the light bar? What light bar?
I'm thinking of mounting a light bar but don't know where and how to mount all this, any ideas?
It would also be great to add a reverse light on these 550's

I had a similar problem in the summer with the EFI light.
It turned out to be some type of Valve in the cooling system, is your quad getting hot really quickly? Is the fan coming on? My fan didn't come on until the dealer fixed it for me... the cooling system just wasn't functioning how it should due to that valve apparently. I drove something like 500km with that problem, wasn't really bothered to do anything. But I had to stop if my coolant temp. gauge got to 8 bars
for a few minutes and let the quad cool down. It got there really quick if I wasn't going fast and blowing air into the radiator. I'm lucky the dealer didn't have problems with me doing that, but said not to ride it for that long with any type of problem in the future. Another sign I had with that problem was when I removed the left cover of the engine I had a lot of coolant sprayed all over that cover and it was coming from a small tube which was there and was full of my green coolant, it wasn't leaking or something just the end of the tube was there like it disconnected from something. After the service I can't find that tube

It helps us when your machine is in your signature line. On the Zs the hand brake is not part of the disk brakes, it's a separate system. And no, the pads will last different lengths of time. Just check them sometimes to see where they are.
Wait, wait, wait... Did I really just read somewhere that i'm supposed to change the brake pads on a CF every 400-500 Miles!? (650-800km) Is this for real!? I've got 3100km and havent changed them, dealer hasnt told me anything about this... But I am feeling the front brakes aren't as strong as they were.
The rear brakes don't really do the job with the handle and when i tighten the handle (if you know what i mean) they start squealing, but with the foot pedal all the brakes together they aren't that bad.

When I brake hard with my rear brake in the Cforce 550 you can hear some sort of loud clicking knocking noise. Doesn't happen with the front brakes though. On a YT video i saw an X8 braking hard and I could clearly hear the same sound. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, what is that noise? Is it like that in every model?

I was looking for a thread like this maybe I'll get myself a Light bar soon, I've been thinking of something from a straight 30cm to curved 50cm something around those sizes and shapes
I too have a 2015 CForce 550 EFI EPS. And I have a "flat rack" like kaleab not the "tubed metal" one Red Dog 4x4 has
And... Where did you guys mount your switches? I dont have any idea where to put a switch when I get a Light Bar
Did you use a relay? Or even (if your bothered to) the big question: How did you do your wiring?

December 10, 2016, 03:17:38 PMQuote from: NMKawierider on December 10, 2016, 08:50:09 AMI bought DOT4, but I thought of it now... do you think I have DOT3 or DOT4 in the quad, what did they add at the factory/dealer most probably? If for some reason I have DOT3 in the system now and I added DOT4 would that be bad for the system in any way?
Yes, it's low. The fluid goes in the top of that reservoir. Just clean it well, remove the screws you see on top, gently remove the top and the rubber diaphragm/seal under it, fill to the top line and reassemble. Yes, as pads wear the caliper pistons extent which requires fluid. Also conventional brake fluid is alcohol-based and can evaporate some.

Is it time to add Brake fluid?
http://s1036.photobucket.com/user/Tordesil/media/20161210_125057_zpssre69kid.jpg.html?sort=1&o=0
If so... my question is how and where, in to the container on the handlebars or the container under the front rack? I'm not very good at this stuff. And btw where has the fluid gone? My quad has been running on this brake fluid for about 1 year and 4 months. I haven't done anything to the braking system before
I read somewhere that the break pads wear out, causing the fluid to go low, is that a possible cause here?

General Discussion / Re: Knocking
December 03, 2016, 06:30:32 PMQuote from: NMKawierider on December 03, 2016, 05:34:19 PMCrazy story... did some riding today, not much, maybe 20km. On the way at my grandads house, while lying on the couch I thought of the knocking, so I posted on the Forum. Got back home (through the fresh snow no one has driven on yet!! Nothing better!
Check for loose a-arm bolts.
) and in the garage bent down to see what could be the cause of this knocking and to my shock I saw this... http://s1036.photobucket.com/user/Tordesil/media/20161204_004909_zpsamsp8ff5.jpg.html?sort=1&o=0I took my phone out to take this picture and at exactly that moment i got a notification from the forum about a Reply on this thread, about loose bolts
I think I've had this problem for a few months now. How is that bolt still there!?!? Not much riding because of school, but still...!? A few more km and... I don't even want to think about what could've happened. Atleast mistakes teach the most, I'll be more careful after this.
NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL LUCK!!

November 03, 2016, 07:52:45 AMQuote from: REDRIDER on November 03, 2016, 06:52:01 AMSo it might seem to us that Europeans have the higher octane fuel but the reality is actually totally opposite, didn't even know about this, great info, thanksQuote from: Tordesil on November 03, 2016, 01:30:50 AMEurope and USA measure a different rating to determine octane. Your 95 is about equal to our 87
Well I run 95 Octane because in Europe I cant get lessDo you think there is a difference in American engines and European engines? You guys run low octane fuel and I run quite high Octane fuel so is there a difference? I did something like 110kmh(68mph) maximum on my quad.
