UForce 800 / hard or no steering/ found problem
May 10, 2023, 10:18:38 PM
So, I did find the problem with the steering column bearings, but while I was replacing the bearings, I found the rack and pinion is shoot
the tie rod shafts seem to have bad bearings at the ends and on the input shaft seems to be loose as well, it doesn't seem to be rebuildable according to the parts diagram. but is it just the tie rods that have worn and causing the loosens in the rack?
And is there a aftermarket kit to rebuild the rack or some type of an up grade?

To all, I found the problem, The bearings at the top of the steering column went bad and locked up. The bearing is just behind the steering wheel. And according to the parts diagram there is a bearing at the bottom of the column too.
I plan on replacing both when the parts come in.

UForce 800 / hard or no steering
February 18, 2023, 08:37:09 PM
I have a 2015 u-force 800 that I have had since new, it has started to have a hard spot or no steering, it seems as if it binds, but it only dose it once and awhile.
today it did it when I first started it and then again about 5 minutes later. It will do it even if the rig is jacked up and the wheels hanging.
I can't tell if it's binding in the joints, in the steering shaft, or just the EPS.
hopefully someone has had this issue before

the more I look at it I am going to remove it, I wonder if the original bearing that was sealed on one side with a metal piece had some clearance to allow oil to stay in the bearing before draining out?
But the oil pressure this machine has will definitely be able to lube that bearing.
any thoughts on the wet clutch friction claws? they move freely but just don't seem to hit the drum enough.

CForce 600 , X6 / clutch job?
August 22, 2021, 07:10:33 PM
so I have been forced into going back into this machine several times. It never was right!
the first problem is there is something wrong in the wet clutch, in the video that is attached I can hold the output shaft with my hand. The new friction material I put in the wet clutch still looks new as if it isn't touching the drum on the clutch. Is there different heights of material you can purchase? when this first failed it was because the machine was swamped and filled with water and it wore the wet clutch down to nothing.
second problem is the oil leaking from the seal which has been replaced several times as the bushing that goes in the seal. researching this problem I found that there is a oil journal in the case right behind the seal to lube the bearing behind the seal, makes sense! the problem I see is the new bearing is sealed on one side of it. I think the oil is not allowed to flow back into the crankcase causing it to pour out of the seal. the original bearing had the same one side sealed off only difference is it was metal cover and the new one is plastic cover on the bearing.
I am wanting to remove that bearing cover to allow the oil to drain back to the sump. but I want to know if anyone else has had a issue or if they know why that bearing is sealed on one side.
the Bearing with the one side sealed is called the support bearing in the picture in this tread.
please help

UForce 800 / Recalled oil lines?
April 12, 2021, 07:25:58 PM
I have a 15 u force. I have had issues for years with the oil cooler lines and have decided to replace them when I saw the recall kit for $78
I don't have a dealer in Alaska where I live anymore so I do all my own work.
So because of this would CF moto send me the parts for free?? and what parts are they changing in the recall kit??

CForce 600 , X6 / clutch replacement
January 13, 2021, 09:06:25 PM
so gentlemen,
I am replacing the clutch and bearings on our x6, my problem is on the side cover there is a bearing and seal in the cvt cover that is between the wet clutch and the dry clutch.
I pulled the bearing out not paying attention and when I went to put it back I discovered that the bearing is open on 1 side and closed on the other side, I don't know how it came out, I think the closed side should go out towards the dry clutch but I want to find out for sure.
please help

CForce 600 , X6 / wet clutch& sprag bearing
March 17, 2020, 04:59:25 PM
so I finally got time and took it apart and yes I put this one way clutch in backwards. I straighten that out and put it back together, now the wheeler works as it should. BUT i still have a noise coming from it sometimes, seems when I drive it and come to a stop it will squeak for a few seconds before stopping.
i tried to do a video but my GPpro did not record the audio of the video.

CForce 600 , X6 / update and a question
March 03, 2020, 09:30:15 PM
so I found that the wet clutch was metal to metal, i ordered and installed the replacement clutch paws and springs, which fixed my problem but caused another,
Now it is noisy at idle and is engaged all the time and will not release, it seems to be biting all the time.
any ideas.
someone mentioned wet clutch oil, is that required? i but regular oil in the crankcase.
sorry it toke so long but i had to wait on parts and time to get this far.
