My z1000 is unfixed and probably wont ever be at this point... Biggest mistake I ever made buying this machine..

Best of luck with yours!

I have asked for the photos and all correspondence they had with CFMoto Canada... will post them if and when i get them

I totally agree... I have never stalled it out in water and it always made it back to camp... If it ingested water it was minimal at best as I drove it out of the trail system that day (approx 6-8 miles) at a pretty good pace without issue until I got it going faster down the roadway and it puked its coolant out and overheated. So im inclined to think the overall issue was something else and the dealer and cfmoto are just sticking to water in engine..

What's their evidence of water intrusion? Did you see it first hand? Are you sure it is your engine? Could it be coolant intrusion?

I haven't seen it firsthand just going by what the Dealer said to me... He said the Air Filter was wet and Falling apart, there was rusty spots in the engine and a bearing was rusty and spun on the crank supposedly... They emailed pictures to CfMoto and they said Water Intrusion and go F myself..

I am so disappointed with this machine at this point and their unwillingness to help out..

Response from Cfmoto Canada: (Keep in Mind, This motor did not lock up and was running when I dropped it off)

Good Day Mr.B

I understand what you are saying, but the main factor to the cause of failure is due to water ingestion, therefore warranty dose not apply.

If you have any questions let me know

Best regards,

Alex.

My Response:

That is unbelievable that you are unwilling to even try and come to some sort of solution... I have no idea how water got inside and it could not have been that much regardless... I am really dissatisfied with your response to this matter... I was really excited when I purchased this unit and now I regret it whole heartedly...  I can assure you that this situation was not due to negligence and was caused by some other reason..

What good is the so-called best warranty in the industry if you just dismiss it on the judgment of a few pictures and an assumption...

I would have great things to say to people about cfmoto had this gone differently... Now unfortunately I think things will be quite different..

Be careful with water... My 2018 is now sitting at the dealer and CF-Moto refuses to honor the warranty on it due to evidence of water being in the engine.. I NEVER have run in water over my door openings ...Mine overheated bad on the road back to cottage after a 3hr trail ride.. puked coolant out of the overflow... So I towed it back to my cottage.. it would then overheat just on idle... it was hard to start and sounded clacky when it did start... I parked it and called my dealer.

2 weeks later I was finally able to get it into the dealer (i washed it beforehand so water could have gotten into the air intake during this) a few weeks later I am told there was evidence of water inside (rusty) and one of the rod bearings had seized and spun on the crank.

So CF-Moto wont fix it under warranty even though it was going in for a transmission recall that required them to tear it all apart anyways... I am now stuck with an expensive lawn ornament that I only bought in 2019 and has only 1400kms on it!

I am at a loss of what to do as I dont feel I should have to pay out of my pocket to fix this machine with their so-called "INDUSTRY BEST WARRANTY"

I have had other issues since day 1 with this machine.... Loss of power (BOGGING) several times, Transmission popping out of gear countless times even after delaer adjustment, Fan Fuse blown 2 times.

Lesson learned:  Warranty is only good if a Manufacturer feels like honoring it!

General Discussion / Re: Z Force 800 EX tyres

You would be better off with a non-mud tire then it would be a nicer ride for sure...

GBC Kanati Mongrel is a nice tire similar to a BFG KM2 truck tire

well I got about 85kms on it today and the bog down returned... :(

A bad spark plug can & will cause this, have they been changed & are you sure.

no they havent been change as the machine is basically brand new.. i was gonna pull the plugs tomorrow and have a look at them and see if thats the issue

2018 ZForce 1000, bought new 2 months ago.  Currently has ~1250kms on it.  I followed break-in procedure pretty closely, it's first service was done by dealer at 500km, and I just changed the oil for a second time at 1235km.

Problems:

>Think I had a bad left rear shock, it thunked pretty hard on bumps.  Dealer replaced it with a new style shock from the 2019 1000's, and will be replacing the other rear to match also.

>Has an issue sometimes with grinding when shifting into gear, it's a known issue and dealer is currently ordering parts to repair it.

>Passenger 4pt harness would not buckle 90% of the time and eventually stopped working altogether.  Dealer swapped it out no problem, I just brought it in and they gave me a new one.

>A couple minor things like loose heat shields on both exhaust pipes due to crappy clamps, I replaced them with good hose clamps and it's fine now.  also blew a fuse for the fan once but replaced it and no issues since.

2018 z1000 EPS LX with 450kms on it:

Had the fan fuse blow at 300kms as you did, replaced it and its been fine since...
bent rear brake disc shield on inside of the wheel, Must have caught a branch or small rock in there...
Also had shifter issues (hard to shift and whatnot) dealer adjusted and it seems way better now (time will tell)

Had an issue where it bogged right down when i tried to accelerate last time out... I just brought it in for its break-in service and picked it up today. Going for a run tomorrow so hopefully its all good now.. Dealer seems to think maybe it was water in the gas perhaps..

Otherwise been a good machine so far, I dont baby it either so Im happy so far..

The rear suspension hits a little harder than I would prefer but my dealer says to put some more miles on it before I adjust the springs to ensure they have settled in..

going to add a RZR 800 style 2" suspension lift in the near future and some bigger tires, maybe some wheel spacers to bring the width out to 63"

I made some rudimentary ones with some old mudflaps from my fuel tanker trailers... double sided tape for the smaller openings and some screws for the larger opening...

I did the same thing with truck mudflaps, except for the door piece.  Yours look a lot better than mine though, mine don't come clean very well and they were a quick job so not fancy.  I like the lower door being open so I made some mudflaps for the front wheels out of the same stuff.  They work great and keep out 90% of the mud and water that was coming in, even with that big opening.

I might do the same.. i find it gets quite hot in the cab now without the airflow from the openings...

The door inserts i ordered from a Canadian Co. ( Rayco Enterprises ) are supposed to be here today or tomorrow. I paid $ 150.00 US for both sides, both front and rear openings. I will let ya'll know and take some pics when I get them.
Safe Travels

I ordered my half windshield from him... price was good... shipping took a bit to get started but was quick once it was shipped.
