800 NK / Right side mirror - bad design can't be twisted low enough to see rear traffic
May 02, 2026, 05:07:25 AM
Right mirror was designed wrong, housing mirror srews into is too high that the mirror can't be tilted low enough to adequaltely see traffic in the right lane behind you.
Any one has a fix ? Bar ends I don't want....seems only way is to grind the plastic at the rear mirror housing as the profilec stops the mirror going down further.

The handle bar brake clamp that the right mirror stalk connects to raises the mirror to high. And the design of this mirror does not allow it to be rotated low enough to effectively see traffic coming behind you.
Clearly the fault lies in the enginner who did the design for the left mirror that connects lower and closer to the handle bar and is fine. So he just flipped it on the CAD machine to create the right side mirror assuming it would be the same.
I have raised this with CFMOTO AUstralia twice and they do not even reply.
The plastic rear housing of the mirror could be filed down, as this plastic prevents any further folding of the mirror. I have to try it.
I don't like bar end mirrors as it gets in the way sticking out.
