My thought is to think about reliability and parts availability. You are going to be a long way from home and when something happens, how easy will it be to get parts, and how long will you have to wait. FOR ME, I would not be comfortable taking a Royal Enfield on a very long distance trip to distant locations. Do some research, what motorcycle companies have dealers in the places you are going to be.
