I will defend my dealer 110% as it is not their fault it lies 100% on CFmoto and 100% their poor customer service.. Like i said i have been extremely polite with them and the only thing i asked them is to contact me directly and not pawn it off on the dealer like they did 2x already and like the dealer stated there is nothing they can do. I really do not care if a customer is Rude or Polite a Manufacturer like that should be answering every single customer back period... If i did that to my customers i would not be employed instead no matter what i treat every customer with the respect they deserve even if they do rip me a new one. They are just frustrated and in my business they are loosing huge money everyday they are down. But hey what to i know since all of my customers have been with me as long as i can remember and refuse to use anyone else.

Ya i gave you i could find it on google in 30 seconds because that is how i found it originally and then backed up by CF moto... People really need to learn how to search for things on their own. It gets tiring to see the same posts day after day where 30 seconds in a search would give them the answer..  Returning to can am may be a good thing as you do not see the same questions day after day.

Sad that you are unable to do such a simple task and search..

What is this transmission upgrade? what's it for? And It's clear this dealer has no clue on what it's doing.

Well for one its CF moto that does not have a clue not my dealer, the upgrade was suggested by CF moto to me in a email that i had supplied the vin for and the dealer also showed me that it was listed under my vin as well and verified by CFmoto. So don't blame my dealer when you did not read the whole story especially when CFmoto admitted they made the mistake and they cannot tell what transmission in in the unit!!! Do some research and you will find out what the upgrade is on your own.. Just over the lack of contact from CF on this after i have sent numerous emails im very tempted to trade it and and go back to a Canam

Well a update to this i went and was going to have the transmission upgrade done as per CF. The shop spits the engine and finds out the parts are wrong they contact CF and are told that my machine does not qualify for the upgrade. When they ask why the upgrade is listed under my vin they are told i have a different trans and they cannot tell what machines have that. SO here my machine sits split apart for no reason. Then they go to put it back together and found rust in one of the cycl and the machine has never been though anything deeper that a mud puddle so now i had to wait for a new cyl luckily that was covered under warranty. Here is a real kicker i have contacted CF multiple times since this and asked them to contact me directly and not have the dealer contact me and give me a real answer as to what  they are going to do for me as they have not fixed my original complaint of no ebrake and that is a safety issue especially since all my riding is in the mountains. They have yet to contact me... so to me they have the worst customer service ever as they have been ignoring my emails since shortly after day one when i purchased the machine and asked them about a ebrake and told them to stop having the dealer contact me as its not the dealers responsibility to make it right especially when the USA can get the ebrake kit

General Discussion / Re: Tire chains for a 2026 C600

Would be better off studding the tires instead of running chains.. People are always selling factory take offs for cheap.

Has their been any updates for us Canadians? I have been back and forth with CF and they refuse to budge trying to tell me the unit does not have the attachment points for the brake, yet i have looked at the new units that came with them and all the attachment points are their. All they offered me is the 11 hour transmission upgrade that still does not help me when im parked on a hill, i live in the mountains and that is every time i stop..LOL

Seems odd that CFM isn't owning-up to this mistake and not taking care of it world-wide. In most business worlds customer satisfaction is the #1 key to success and growth.

I agree what does it really cost them in the long run very little in parts and some labour, heck i would have installed myself if they would have just supplied the parts. Mine stands out like a sore thumb as well since you do not see any in my area with 30's..

Strange, when the Gen2 Trail 800 was introduced there were only two variants - one for the US and the other for the rest of the world including Canada.  From the research I did at the time on mine I was left with the impression that the only difference in the two was the "world" version included the eBrake, horn, turn signals, etc.  A fellow owner in Spain confirmed that when we compared his to mine.  So I'm wondering if you got a US version (CF800-SZ-2) instead of the world version (CF800-SU-2).

I doubt i got the US version as the dealer said that none of the rest had E brake as well. I do have the horn and blinkers find that kind of funny what am i going to do with blinkers on the trail as their is very few places in canada where u can ride on the road.

Truly disappointed in CF over the Canadian lack of ebrake. I have been able to look at previous machines and the 2026 from front to back and every single location for a ebrake is in place on my machine so their BS of it not fitting is false. Instead they are willing to do a TSB on the trans with 11 hours of labor. Looking at what would be involved in installing a factory ebrake would be less cost and make the customer happy. Heck i would be happy if they just gave me the parts and i did the install.  They will not even respond to me now after several emails that they would just forward to the selling dealer to deal with, what is the dealer going to do if CFmoto will not help them. Sent them a email stating i did not want to hear from the dealer as i could just drive over their and talk to them that i wanted a resolution from them especially since the kit is available in the US.

ZForce 950/1000 Sport & EX / Re: Fuel additives?
October 12, 2025, 08:37:57 AM
Old post i realize but... I never used fuel additives my whole life until a few years ago. Everything i owned ran on fuel between yard equipment and the machines. Put stabilizer in for the winter as per the instructions the next season i went to use my yard equipment and everything was junk. Not a single thing would start all the seals in the carbs had deteriorated and the crap from that went through the carbs when i tried to start, had to replace 4 pc of yard equipment that year so i changed over to all rechargeable so i did not have to mess with this crap again. Luckily i did not put the crap in the atv's and they were the only thing that ran right.  With todays fuels their is no need to put in additives. The additive i had used was a name brand well recommended product just did not play well for me.. Good things is i never regretted buying all rechargeable equipment as now i just grab a battery and go..

to funny that this does not apply to the Canadian machines. When i contacted zforce they told me that the USA frames and the Canadian frames are different and their is no kit for canada. THen they contact the selling dealer to get ahold of me, what is the dealer to do if they are no supporting them? Im finding that the after support from CF is lacking as i do not believe for a min that their is no way to put a factory brake on these machines especially when all the mounts and predrilled holes are already their for the brake
