I put the cap back on after I filled it, I'm sure there was still air in the system. Then started it and let it run. I ran out of daylight, I'll look into it tomorrow more, thanks I'll post what I find out

Do I need to bleed the cooling system? I know when I opened the radiator cap coolant gushes out and it's not hot

I changed the rectifier, wasn't that, changed the battery, wasn't that, changed the stator and now it's charging! Woohoo now I have a overheating problem. The gauge is pegged to hot after a few minutes but the hoses aren't even warm and the fan doesn't come on? I rebuilt the water pump, the only thing I can think of is the water pump isn't pumping?

Can I test the stator from the rectifier plug? I believe I tested the rectifier correctly and it seamed fine. I narrowed it down to the stator and battery, the battery drops to 10v on start up and when the lights are on it drops to 12.28v and when I shut the lights off it goes to 12.53 so it's charging? Must be the battery even though it takes a full charge from the charger?

Haven't found out yet, not very good at using a multimeter / knowing what settings are what. Guessing I would need to remove some of the coating on the wire to test?

When the buggy is running and I disconnect the battery it shuts off, if it's charging shouldn't it stay running?

I found it behind the plastics behind the passenger seat, the book I got with my cfmoto is crap, alot of the pages are half cut off like it wasn't copied right and just slapped together. Do I need to splice into the wires? Red and white wire and the green wire? What should the reading be? 12v? Thanks for the help

The battery checks to be good. The stator is on the passenger side correct? Where is the regulator/rectifier? Which wires do I check?

ZForce 600EX/600 / Charging issues?
July 31, 2017, 11:12:09 PM
Hi everyone, new to this forum and hope someone can help me out. I have a 2013 z6 ex zforce with 1700 miles on it. I had it out cutting firewood a couple of weeks ago it was acting like it wanted to shut off so I left it run while I was sawing wood, when I shut the saw off my buggy wasn't running. I tried to start it and I could hear the solenoid clicking, but the fuel pump wasnt turning on,got pulled home and tried crossing the solenoid with a screw driver and it started and the fuel pump kicks on? I checked the fuses and replaced the solenoid and it still clicked, battery was low so I charged it and it was fine. Rode it for about 10 miles and it started to get sluggish at about quarter throttle, pulled over for a while and got back in and the solenoid clicked again, tried again and it started right up? Rode for another mile or so, shut it off and came back an hour or so later and the solenoid clicked again and wouldn't start!, I jumped the solenoid with a screwdriver again and it started. Drove it home and checked the battery and it was at 11.35 volts, charged the battery again and it was at 13.54 volts? Seams like the battery is good but my buggy isn't charging the battery? Battery terminals are clean, any info in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

I live in central pennsylvania, I've had my 2013 cfmoto z6 zforce ex for 2 years and only had 28 miles on it when I got it. Never really had any issues till now with 1700 miles on it. I use it for just slow trail riding which its great for. Really glad I found this site because I couldn't really find anything on the Web about specifics.
