For anyone who has the 2023 model I got the bike fixed under warranty. It was the front actuator on the diff. It had burnt the motor out.
Working now again.

The actuator locks-in the axles to the carrier and locks the two together when in diff-loc. The light changes from 2 to4wd and back again when the actuator moves to a certain positions. From what you are saying, the actuator, although making some noise, isn't completing it's moving range. You need to pull it and check the slide block the drive gear moves for stripped teeth as well as a bent fork and when off you can work the actuator and see if the light changes when off. If it doesn't, you can help it by turning the gear a bit manually. If this makes the light come on there is something wrong inside the actuator. Replace it. You can see the slide block and gear in this pic.
Hi my 2022 cfmoto 625 something weird is happening.
I can hear the 4wd relay and front diff lock relay click but on dash it will not show 4wd.
I lifted all wheels off ground 2wd and rear wheels spin and so does the front tailshaft? Is that normal?
When in 4wd only back wheels spin but on dash it stays in 2wd.
What could be the cause?
