Here is the factory air filter on my 2023 800 Trail.

Went on first extended run yesterday on the 2023 800 Trail.  THe temperature indicator has blocks that display as the unit warms up.  THere were several times that it was at the 2nd highest temperature position.  Never went to the top but bounced back between the 3rd and 2nd from the top,   Should I be concerned?

Thoughts?   In prepping to go to a very dusty ride, what do you think of a very thin sock being placed over the oem air filter on a 2023 zforce trail?

I see the ecommended oil is SAE 10-40W.  It does not say regular or synthetic.  Just breaking in my unit and need to know what type is suggested going forward.   Live in Georgia and not an abusive rider.

Thank you.  Obviously I did not read the manual before the intial transport home.

On the other statement, why even have a Park in the transmission if it is only used on flat ground??

Hmmm.  So why have a Park in the transmission if it is only viable for parking on flat ground?  Maybe I am missing something.  Also seems like the dealer should have told me about not placing the unit in Park when transporting.

When parked on a hill and you are by yourself it is a bit hard to rock the unit back and forth due to weight of vehicle.  I had to use winch to tree to relief pressure on transmission.   Poor design .   I actually started a thread on this yesterday

THe new Trail unit does not have a parking brake.  Putting the unit in Park, is basically the brake.  There is an issue if you park on a hill and the weight of the unit is resting on the transmission in Park.  You cannot shift it out of Park without rocking the unit or taking the weight off.  I had to winch to a tree to relieve the pressure off the gear selector to shift out of Park.

Very impressed.  Very powerful and quick.  This is my first side by side and I am used to a Can Am Outlander 400 XT Max.  THis is a bit wider on trails than the ATM.   Initial thoughts are it engages a bit late, must raise RPM from 1400 to around 2000 before CVT catches.  Seems to be getting better as it breaks in.   Love it so far!   Very well built and smooth on trails...
