Can the parking lock lever cause a clicking noise in the transmission if it is hitting on the gear when the secondary clutch is spinning?

It is possible to adjust it if this is happening?

A word of caution to all DIY mechanics...

Mark the wires that go to your front and rear coil packs when you are doing your tear down.
If  you reversed them;  it sounds like you have timed the motor incorrectly!

I'm having problems getting my timing correct.

I've read post:  https://cfmoto-forum.com/800ex800/timing/

On my case there isn't a mark or divot where you line up the 2|T or the 1|T lines on the Magneto...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Does anyone know if there is a difference between a crankshaft marked "A" or a crankshaft marked "B"?

I know they have different part numbers with different rod bearings.

Just wondering...

I appreciate the replies.

Apparently  the one on my machine is stuck, stuck, and stuck...

I sprayed it with PB Blaster.
Hopefully it will break loose!

Is this the Magneto Cover and do you remove it?

I purchased it with this problem but I'm at a lost to explain how someone busted the teeth off of the front wheel drive bezel along with busting the bezel seat...

They had to rev the engine up to max rpm's and throw it in gear...

This is the tool I purchased:

I ended up having to tear my motor in half in order to replace the Bearing Housing Drive Bevel Gear Seat  in the transmission.

I decided to go through the engine since it is in half...

I can't get the magneto off. I have the 42mm magneto removal tool.

Is there another part that is between the nut & the magneto that has to be removed first?

I want to make sure I have this correct...
The Primary shaft has to spin freely counter-clockwise, if not I installed the one way bearing backwards?

https://cfmoto-forum.com/800ex800/cvtwet-clutch-issue/msg47215/#msg47215
"Just FYI, if it is in and working correctly, with the belt off or in neutral and engine NOT running, the primary will spin counter-clockwise and lock if you try and spin it clockwise. If in backward and there are no other issues..including a damaged oneway, it will be the reverse of that."

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Wet Clutch Problems
November 05, 2023, 03:17:23 PM
I ran into a huge problem with my wet clutch due to CFMOTO using substandard nuts on my 2020 ZForce 800.

The nut that holds the wet clutch on the crank shaft stripped...

I had to cut the original nut off carefully so that I didn't harm the crank shaft.

Unfortunately the stripped nut damaged the threads on the crank shaft.  I decided to file the end of the crank shaft down and then I ordered a 11/18 x 18 LH die, which is the next size smaller thread after the M18x150 original nut. I re-cut the threads on the crank shaft.  I then purchased an high quality 11/16 x 18 LH Jam Nut and I found a washer to go along with it that matched the size and weight of the original nut.

Due to the wet clutch wobbling around it ruined the 6208 bearing on the wet clutch bell housing.   I wasn't sure how to remove but the service manual said to press it out.
I pressed it out and I am currently waiting for the new bearing to arrive.

I did find the reason Carl Malone said it had transmission problems.  The Drive Bevel Gear is busted for the front wheel drive.
I've already ordered a new part from Sun Coast Cycles and it should be here next week.

I wanted to post this because I'm fairly sure that I'm not the only person to have a problem with the substandard nuts that CFMOTO was using in 2020.
I did notice the new replacement nuts that I ordered from them was made to a higher quality.

When I opened that folder, the bearing and seal were below the bottom of my screen & I didn't realize I needed to scroll down...

QuoteI see the bearing has two retainers on the bell side and looks like the circlip is inside of the seal. How do you get to those retainers to slide the bearing out? Just curious.

There are 2 8mm bolts under the Wet Clutch Bell that you have to loosen in order to pull it out of the CVT Case, what a pain to loosen...

Under what folder did you find the bearing?

One more for you NMKawierider!

The part number for the bearing on the Wet Clutch Housing?
