General Discussion / Re: Over Glasses Goggles

My wife and I use Scott OTG Goggles.  Different styles and price ranges available.   We paid on sale like 37.00 each.  Been very happy with them so far.

Glad you took the bow off before you went riding ;)

Curious if you mocked these up on the 50" wide trail versions (z500 /z800)?   I know the trail wheelbase is not as wide, but still has poor "mud flaps" from factory.

Dealer set me up with the Fab-1 spray since day1 .   Super tacky indeed, especially when you get it where you don't want it - LOL

Front and Rear Diff fluid change and spark plug change.   Front diff was a wee bit tight getting the socket positioned to loosen the fill plug.   Rear was a piece of cake.   Spark plug not too bad, still really tight to get a tool in place to loosen.   CFMOTO provided spark plug wrench was useless.

Ill be sure to check this out.      If there is one there from the factory, kinda BS that its not mentioned anywhere.

Regarding the pre-filter between the seats.   I don't recall ever seeing this mentioned,, not from the dealer and not in the owners or service manuals (unless I missed it).

My dealer installed the twin Air filter and pre-filter before I even took it home.

Talked with my "new" dealer yesterday.   Had a good conversation, feel positive if I need warranty work that I can count on them.

45 views and only one reply, looks like 44 of you need to get your valves adjusted - LOL

FYI on some symptoms that could be related to needing this service ... "If your machine is performing poorly, starts hard, backfires, or has a noisy valve train, it may be time for a valve adjustment. The valves are timed to the piston movement via the timing chain and other components. If your valves are out of adjustment, the motor's intake stroke, power stroke, or exhaust stroke may stop working correctly."

General Discussion / Survey: Valve Adjustments and Miles
September 21, 2017, 12:12:53 PM
I know what the manual says ... but just curious as to what your mileage was for checking valves and if they needed to be adjusted.   I know most of you have the 800's, I have the 17' Z500.
