I have about 3000 miles on my 2023 and the throttle was one of my top complaints. After I got a feel for the throttle I can control it much better. I still get the occasional jerkiness but it isn't one of my top complaints anymore. My daughter has a trick where she places half of her shoe on the pedal and the other half on the ledge beside the pedal to help control the pressure she applies it seems to work. I do like the foam idea for a simple fix

I wanted to get a spare belt so I replaced my OEM belt with a gates belt. After I installed the gates and went through the break-in process It feels like I have more shuddering on the slow take-offs than I did with the OEM belt. I might swap it back when I get a few more miles on the Gates belt to see if I can tell any difference. I did clean the sheaves and all that during the swap. Just an fyi I believe it said to never use brake cleaner to clean the sheaves.
That heat shield video looked exactly like mine.
I took it off to see what the deal was because I hate a rattle. when I separated the heat shield this fiberglass material fell out from between the shield and the exhaust pipe. I believe that's what they were using to keep it from rattling. I purchased some high-heat material kinda like what you would use on the manifold of a car it reminds me of the fiberglass insulation you would see on rolls for your attic. I trimmed enough to go between the pipe and shield to stop the rattle.

yep just looked 40 amp close to the battery was blown. I should have checked fuses closer on my initial check. Let's just say I was 100% sure the spare fuse was good when I hit with a multimeter two days ago
ugh
thanks for the help

the more I have been reading the more I am leaning toward a fuse probably just hoping it's a fuse. Isn't there a main fuse close to the battery and another under the hood?

OK, fully charged battery voltage never exceeds 12.8. If I turn on all the electrical accessories it pulls the voltage down to 11's and the battery light pops on. If I turn off all accessories the voltage will come back up to 12.2 or so. Would you look at the stator or rectifier? What's the best way to test them? I assume rectifier I could test with a multimeter.

partial update.
I took the battery down to advance to get them to load test and they said it tasted good. It's terrible but every time I let them test a battery it feels like they are guessing how to test it and what the results are. (I haven't had a chance to hit with a multimeter work has been busy.
I have a battery coming since the local selection was very slim on the choices. I still plan on checking the voltage I haven't seen anything over 12.2 on the dash voltage meter after I let it drain down.
I will let you know what I find once I test it.

UForce 1000 / Battery question
September 11, 2023, 06:57:01 PM
1 yr old uforce doesn't seem to be charging the battery after I let the battery die. I had no previous issues until the battery went dead and was wondering if there was a fuse I could check that I missed.
The long version may help
Uforce would not start after sitting for a few days (I could have left the radio on). I popped the bed to charge the battery and noticed my quick connect had fallen and melted the fuse blew in the quick connect as it should have. I charged the battery for a while (not full charge) but enough to start the machine. I went a few miles down the road and noticed the voltage fluctuating and then the voltage started dropping until the battery light popped on. so I charged the battery fully today and after about 15 miles and 40 minutes, I noticed the light had popped back on so back home and back on the charger. I feel like I either toasted the battery or I missed a fuse that popped when the charger quick connect got shorted.
thanks for any help

UForce 1000 / Re: Throttle issues
July 17, 2023, 07:01:08 AM
I think they just have a crappy throttle system. I have the issue with my 2023 that just rolled over 1000 miles. I have learned to control it better but it's still a problem. I disliked it so much, in the beginning, I was going to return or sell the unit.
here are a few things
1. I changed out the clutch kit. That helped a lot to resolve the jumpy take-offs
2. I got familiar with how much throttle and how fast to apply the throttle
3. it got better after a couple hundred miles but I am not sure if it was because of the driver or the machine
4. my biggest issue is when I hit a washboard or something similar I get what I call the oscillating effect where the bump causes my foot to apply unwanted pressure to the throttle so I let off then try to get back in it and I start this perpetual throttle engage disengage. I found that if I rest my foot partially on the plastic running up the center of the floorboard I can control the throttle pressure better.

I have had this happen twice I am sure it was because of an operator error one of the times. I reset the mil light and it has not happened since.

it's easy to do but make sure you line everything back up because it's balanced. I actually missed the mark the first time and it was noticeable. if you run your finger around the parts you can feel a notch that needs to be lined up but mark them with a sharpy.

I can confirm that these pads will fit a 2023 Uforce 1000. I installed the front today I haven't done the rear but I would guess they will also work.

does anyone have some cross-reference numbers for the 2023 brake pads? The oem brake pads are less than stellar and I would like to try something different.
