I was able To put an order in with eBay vendor Androidextend.  Pretty sure he's in Taiwan.  He claims to ship fedex as opposed to economy international shipping.  He says 5 to 30'days for delivery LOL.  We'll see what happens.  He has 100% positive feedback though.  On a humorous note, I asked my local CF MOTO dealer the cost to Reclock the clutch, they said "what's that?" .  So I told them and they said maybe $300 once they research it, maybe less.  I told them never mind, I'll do it myself.

Smart move.  I found I had to make a couple tools for the job.  One holds the primary and secondary still while I loosen the nuts.  The other is to compress the spring on the clutch for disassembly.  Couldn't find a pic of my spring compressor tool.

Dr. Pulley is based out of Taiwan.  Wonder if you purchased directly from them?

Do the square pins just slip between the ribs on the secondary?  How about the pins on the primary side?  Do they go into the holes, what's the diameter?  I'm going to grab some bar and rod tomorrow.

I use a similar setup for pulling trailing arm Bearings on my track car that I can modify for the compression tool.

Thanks for the pictures!

Odd, I ordered Dr Pulley 24's yesterday from an eBay vendor on the slow boat. Once they are in I'm going to C-1.

I have had my 800 Trail up to 11,460' at Paiute Trails, Utah and the poor thing absolutely fell on it's face, power wise. Idled perfectly but had hardly enough power to pull the meringue off a lemon pie, as an old buddy of mine would say.

Nice, I borrowed a friends razr and took it up to Liszt and Charlie's RV park in Marysvale and spent a week on the Paiute trail, that's what convinced me to buy my own sxs.  I've got a message to a vendor on eBay he says he has them, shipping on the slow boat,  and I also messaged NMKs guy to see it he already has them from the slow boat to save some time.

Ok, I'll order the sliders, they are lighter than the stock rollers?  How much top emd do you think I'll lose?  I don't need to go 70 mph but 6 is nice down south 14.  I'll hit up Bobby J's and see when they can do it. (Unless you feel like having a beer and showing me how to do it...) :)
Heck man we have videos in the How To section on clocking. Even B2 no top end loss. And the 24 gram sliders are only one gram less each but makes a big difference staying the the power band.

Thanks NMK, maybe I'll give it a shot this week.  Have a great night!
Take a look at the videos and see if you have the tools needed..not much really. The other thing I wanted to add also is that sometimes people forget that we loose 3% of engine power for every 1000 feet in altitude we go. For us here...that's a big loss in power to start with. Here on the NE heights I'm at 5300 feet so that's over a 15% loss already. That takes a 60HP engine down to about 51..Just think what happens when we ride up to 11-12,000 feet! People at seal level or at least under 1000 feet don't have to deal with that loss.

I understand loss to altitude very well.  It's a killer in N/A cars, so I like to build boosted engines.  Of course I'm lacking the spanner for the clutch and the cool secondary clutch holder you made.  But I've got a shop at home with lots of tools and a lift to simplify things.  Your videos are great. Plus the distraction in the upper right during the mundane disassembly is handy. :)
I'm pretty sure I have whatever I need to make the compressing tool as well.   It's just nice to have an experienced eye on things for the first go round if possible.

Finding the Dr Pulley sliders has proven to be impossible.  I found one vendor on eBay who says they are out of stock.

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Clocking question
June 06, 2021, 05:07:21 PM
Ok, I've read the clocking threads and NMK has some amazing tutorials and videos out there.  My one simple question is does reclocking move the cvt lock up further up the RPM range?  Does it allow it to "downshift" better.  This thing was a dog in the sand washes this weekend.  A bit embarrassing with my razr friend.  It would lock up around 30mph and just bog after that.

Ok, I ran the new intake mod for the first time at one of the big off-road spots here near Albuquerque NM.  Rio Puerco.  After 4 hours running, absolutely no heat out of the vent in between the seats, and the filter was almost dust free.  I think it's a keeper.  But it's a dog in the sand, the CVT doesn't seem to downshift at all and it just bogs about 30mph down the wash.  New topic coming.....

That will be my next change, I agree the one hole is pretty lame.  I am already banding the sock around the intake to minimize dirt intrusion through all of the gaps.  I'll probably buy another intake to modify so I can switch back if I need warranty work.  I can see them rejecting my claim because I added some holes to the intake.

I added a better picture of the pizza box inspired mod too.  The grill enclosure has a foam seal that seals against the bottom plate.

I took a page from glenlivets book and made a more permanent mod to the intake using aluminum so it only draws from the cabin.  It is now totally isolate to pick up from the cabin.  I also upgraded to the Uni filter.  Even well oiled I still noticed very fine dust in the intake after a bunch of miles in a very fine dust area.  I don't think you'll ever eliminate all of the dust.

Hi everyone.  Just got my 800 about 4 weeks ago.  So far I've put about 400 miles on it.  Added rock bars and speakers.  I've also fixed up the air intake.  I'll put that info in the other forum.  It could use some More power, but it's a lot of fun out here in NM,  lots of trails to check out.  And some good off-road areas
