General Discussion / Spin on oil filter modification.
September 12, 2022, 06:07:07 PM
While i was a lurker on the site i came across a thread about a spin on oil filter modification that got mt attention. What i got from the posts about it is that this part is for a can am but will
fit a cfm 800 trail.It's sold thru Mr.Rpm.
If i understand right the O ring that is on the current oil filter cover can be used?
What i'm not understanding is the inner seal thats talked about.I haven't changed my oil yet in my 800 so maybe thats why?Can someone please exsplain about this inner seal ,maybe post some pictures where it goes or something?
I want to buy the adapter and put it on during my first oil change.
The adapter sounds so much easier than the stock filter set up.
Thanks guys.........Bob  Oh my cfm is a 2018 800 trail

Well after surfing the cfmoto forums for the past month i thought that i would take the plunge
and join the cfmoto family.I like the forum a great deal,All of you seem to know your stuff and are willing to help others an share .
Plus l don't see or haven't seen yet any one getting all kinds of upset and starting verbal alltercations.I do hope to learn , get information that will help me and share what little i know
thru time.Plus...who knows i might make a friend or two.
I just recently bought a 2018 zforce trail 800.It had 1.171 miles oh it and was kept up top notch. The older couple had all the service records. For what i paid i got a killer deal.
Plus i did alot of research on the cfmoto brand before i bought it.
But i am finding out the small things  like checking the oil. It's a pain,I orderd the longer dip stick tube which makes it easier.HEY...at  65 easier is better.
I've had it out a few times and the stock shocks had to go.
Yesterday i put my Elkas stage 1 Hester addition and what an improvement .I have a few other things to do but need more info on them.I noticed NMK is kinds or the go to guy.
Anyway....Sorry for such a long post...It's great to be here.....Thanks guys for the great forum..
