Was looking through the service manual for Z500 and I don't see part numbers.   Anybody have part number for this thermostat / bleeder screw assembly?

Wanted to provide an update, was extremely happy and somewhat surprised that CFMoto covered my pipe under warranty even though my machine is 4 years old   They did have me work with my local dealer to submit the claim which they were more than happy to do for me.   Great company and great dealer support!

ZForce 500/550 / Discovered Anti-Freeze Leak
August 08, 2021, 05:35:58 PM
So when I was replacing my exhaust pipe this weekend I found a anti-freeze leak when I removed the rear hatch above the motor.   I tried to tighten this bolt but it just spun and never tightened.   What is the purpose of this, is it some type of cooling system bleeder?   Should it tighten?

General Discussion / Excellent Dealer for Parts

Ordered a new exhaust pipe for my 2017 z500 last Monday and picked it up today, 1 week is awesome to get a part from CFMoto.  Was really impressed with the dealers website for ordering parts, check it out.

Picked up my new pipe assbly from the dealer today,  they have really beefed up the brackets with this new exhaust pipe.   Almost wonder if I could get CFMoto to reimburse me for the part as it was obviously a design fault that it broke.   Thoughts?

ZForce 500/550 / Exhaust Pipe Broke in Half
July 25, 2021, 08:27:06 PM
So was riding today and all of a sudden the exhaust was extremely loud on the 2017 Z500, thought I lost a spring or two.  Not the case, inside the heat shield the exhaust pipe broken into two pieces.   Easy enough to remove, could not get the oxygen senor to come off however.    So, replace with factory exhaust or aftermarket?    First time for me that I am looking for a replacement part, machine has been great with no real issues up to this point.   Tried searching the forum for this topic and not too much came up.

ZForce 500/550 / Re: Z500 Power Steering Leak?

NMKawierider, thank you for the response.   I knew it was electric, just didn't know about the rack and pinion and if it had seals that could leak any fluids (fluids that can drip, not grease).  Will be cleaning this up next time I can access the storage and should be able to see if there is anything else.   Machine rode good with no other issues so I assume wiring is all intact.   Dam mices!

ZForce 500/550 / Z500 Power Steering Leak?
April 18, 2021, 09:51:58 AM
So I noticed with first ride of the year yesterday my EPS was stiff for the first minute of riding then started working fine.   I also noticed what appears to be fluid leaking from the power steering box (see picture).   No EPS error lights on the dash are lit.    I assume these are sealed pumps with no access to fluid?       My assumption is this is a leak of some sort however I also had mice nesting in my hood storage compartment over the winter in storage.  There was so much piss (looked like black oil) in the storage compartment and it was draining through the drain slot and was dripping right onto the EPS unit.  So I am unsure if this is power steering fluid/grease or mouse piss.

70 mm fit perfectly.   The Moose 70mm springs are very expensive.  Hopefully the ones I purchased will last and not fall off.  Time will tell.

Sasumi sprimgs (70mm) on the exhaust have solved that problem and just in case I will be fitting a 'loose' wire retainer on one position so if all three springs do go it will not mean the joint parting and a $20 cone gasket getting lost, again.

Do you have part numbers and a link or website you used to purchase the springs and gasket?   Lost my springs this weekend.

I run 27" Grim Reapers on the stick wheels on my Trail (53)...ZERO issues. Go for it. Afterwards you might want to consider reclocking the secondary to make up for the weight and size gain though. I like B2 for about everything.

Just to save me the time .... you have the specs on what you installed?    Part numbers, where you purchased (Amazon?) etc .....

Are these a good all around tire?   I drive my Z500 trail on paved roads as well as dirt roads and muddy trails.

Thanks!
