General Discussion / CVT TRans in High Range
November 24, 2020, 07:58:57 PM
Does it stress the CVT transmission to use it in Hi range when speeds are low 10-15mph through hilly rocky terrain....like it would to be in a high gear w a standard geared transmission?

still learning CVT

Pain sometime to have to stop and switch lo to hi when running w a group

Got this response today from CF Moto USA

Thank you for contacting CFMOTO-USA.   At this time, vehicle documentation such as service manuals are in an online-only format for our dealers. CFMOTO-USA is working to provide a printed manual solution for purchase. We appreciate your patience as we work toward this goal, and will announce availability through the Power Syndicate. Unfortunately, I am not able to provide a timeline for printed service manual availability.

Will it have a similar effect by adding the weights and leaving the 2ndary setting as is?

WOW!! Took your advise on the penny's, holy crap, it's like I bought a new machine, no more revving to 3k and slamming the belt, I can cruise the trails without the machine feeling like it's vibrating apart and I still have a top speed of 52, which is fine by me, between the C1 setting on the secondary and the penny's under each weight (I put 2 on each, yes there's room)all the rpm issues are fixed, I'm leaving it just like it is, none of my other machines take off so smooth-like it's supposed to, you guys are great, thanks for all the advise, I hope some other 600 owners try the same thing, and the best thing is- it only cost 12 cents, 2 penny's = 5 grams, use newer ones, old ones weigh more

Is C1 the stock setting? Or does this have to be adjusted too?

Thanks

Too late! lol
but I turned it way down and there was a mark on the boot head to where it needed to go back to so no issues.  I was careful.

How do you hold the primary pulley while you tighten w a wrench ?  Oil filter wrench ?

So pop this center nut off and then I gain access to the weights?

Counter clockwise loosen?

Thanks

Thanks Dnorton1
Will adding the weight in fact cause the clutch to engage at a lower RPM?

Thanks so much.  Just learning this stuff

I am new to owning ATV's but work on my boats, guitar amps and any other thing I can mod.

If I understand this correctly ( I am just learning about CVT systems) by adding wt to the clutch weights, the clutch will engage at lower RPM's?

I just took my 2021 CForce 600 out last weekend for the first time and def felt as though the engine was really reving high just to get it moving.  Thought maybe it was normal for CVT but it didnt feel rt to me.

Do you epoxy the pennies on?

thx

General Discussion / Storage rack anchors
October 26, 2020, 07:08:56 PM
Can someone tell me what type of anchor or tie down goes into these holes on the storage racks?
Looks proprietary but I cant find anything on the Internet.

I want to make anchor points I can run straps through to ties things down.

Thanks so much
