As the title says. I'm changing the oil on my 2023 zforce 800 trail and noticed a very small amount of metal in the oil. It's got 3,000 miles. Extremely small particles, smaller than glitter or grains of sand and there wasn't a whole lot. The magnetic drain plug had some on it as well but it had a very smooth consistency....didn't feel rough when rubbed between fingers.

Is this normal? I've never owned a side by side and figured I'd ask here. Don't hate on me too much. Apologies isle this is a stupid question.

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Shifter cable broke today
February 24, 2025, 05:05:29 PM
I know that if I park on a steep incline, then I won't be able to shift out of gear in my 2023 800 trail.

Today I parked on a very very slight incline, and when I went to put it back into gear.....*snap*.....every gear turned into park.

Ended up securing the machine to a tree with a recovery strap and winch, removed the middle cover between the seats, and manually put it in low to get back home.

Now I'm online looking for the part number for a shifter cable assembly.

Another guy had the same issue as me, but way worse with his 800 trail. 40amp charging fuse keeps blowing and can't figure out why. He took his to a dealer and they said everything was fine.

His only had about 180 miles when it started. Mine was probably 2k.

I've started to get a clunking noise/vibration in the front end of my 2023 800 trail. I can feel it in the floor board and slightly hear it.  Mostly when going down hill or hitting bumps with my passenger side front tire. I've replaced the wheel bearing. the ball joints, brake caliper, and everything else seems to be nice and tight when jacked up and messing with it.

But I can grab my drive line and turn it about 1/2"-3/4". That is the only thing that I have found up front to be remotely loose.

I'm trying to figure out whether my stator is bad.

Mine sits around 13.6 to 14.2 volts depending on if I'm sitting idle or if I have my light bar on.

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Charging fuse blown
June 02, 2024, 10:43:26 AM
I have a 2023 800 trail. I installed a couple of light pods and noticed that one of the wire connectors wasn't connected securely, so one light would go on/off sometimes when riding.

Before I could get back home and replace the connector my charging fuse blew. Same thing happened about 1k miles ago when installing a light bar.

Could it be the light pods/wiring that blew the fuse? I have them on relays and fuses connected to the bus bar under the hood.
