I have a 2015 CF800 that has a single rear brake caliper located in front of the rear diff.   I broke a rear hydraulic line.  Had a local shop make a new rear line.  Now I cannot get it to bleed properly.   I tried using a vacuum bleeder with no luck.

I tried removing the hose from the caliper and covered the banjo with two fingers to see if I could feel pressure and maybe force bleed the line before reconnecting it.  No luck with that either.  I can feel a small amount of pressure when pressing the foot brake pedal but no luck getting any significant fluid to bleed.

Is it time for a new rear master cyl?   Or is there some bleeding proceedure that I am missing?

This ATV is a 2015,  but has less than 350 miles on it, and has never been submerged or beaten up on too much.. so I am a little surprised if the MC is shot already.

CForce 800, X8 / Help: Evap delete on 2016 CF800
February 14, 2023, 03:02:50 PM
I have it apart to replace a fouled spark plug and replace Air/Fuel filter etc..    I hear a lot about deleting the Evap-can on these, but can't find a good write up on this model.  It has one hose running from the fuel tank to the evap-can.  and two hoses running from the can to the efi-throttle body.

Do I remove and cap off both of the throttle body connection barbs?

I think I remove the can and then run the hose from the tank up to a high point on the frame?   Near the air box??

Anyone have the factory alignment specs for a '15 CForce 800?

Specifically,  I need to set the Toe after replacing my steering tie rods.

CForce 800, X8 / Bent Tie Rod Ends
October 19, 2015, 03:07:20 PM
Looks like our recent tire/bent rim incident also did some suspension damage.  Once I got the new tire on my steering is WAY off and its off on both front wheels.  So when the steering is straight,  both wheels are off to the right and not parallel.

I took off both wheels and the right side steering tie rod and it looks like the tie-rod ends got bent.  I am guessing that since the inner rod-ends are both joined at the center 'link'  (actually the bottom of the steering box),  then the damage went right on over to the other side and bent at least the other inner rod end.

So..  I think I need to replace all for rod ends.  Anyone have the part#  or (hopefully) a good source for aftermarket part that will fit, and I can get quickly???   I know that one is reverse thread so I am looking for both the inner and outer part #s..

thanks..

General Discussion / Tire change on 14" alum wheels.
October 06, 2015, 10:17:34 PM
Incident today.  .. damaged the sidewall of a front tire on our CF800.   I just ordered a replacement.  CST ABUZZ 26X9-14

I have replaced sportbike tires.  Is this tire something I can replace?  The Harbor Freight "mini tire changer" only works up to 12" wheels apparently.    I have a bead breaker that We used to remove my kid's motorcycle tires.  Is the rest of this doable?

What are you using for this job?

General Discussion / oil filter Part #s for CF800
October 06, 2015, 02:03:44 PM
I was looking for an option to source oil filters locally, (or nearby).  I have the factory part# and a little more info that I would like to confirm.

Is the K&N   KN-152 a good replacement for the 800cc motor?  Its starting to look like this is a common filter, but would like know what the comparable part#s are.

I like Wix filters, so I was hoping to find the cross-application so I could look that up and get a couple to keep on hand.

QuoteThe factory part # on the oil filter is 0800-011300-0004

I think Hi-Flo makes a replacement, but I don't know what their part number is.

CForce 800, X8 / Need to add mirrors to CF800
October 04, 2015, 10:32:30 AM
My CForce 800 did not come with mirrors on lt.  I will be pulling a trailer around my property and would like mirrors.  Its looks like the mirror mount hole is present on the right side, but not on the left.

I see many aftermarket mirrors (with mounts) on Amazon.  I like the looks of the stock mirrors and would like something like, or similar to that.

Anyone have a good recommendation?  Source?

General Discussion / Got a Dump Trailer
October 04, 2015, 09:07:39 AM
I really thought hard about getting a sideXside for the dump bed.  Ended up with the CF800 ATV,  so adding a small trailer gets me pretty close to what I needed.

General Discussion / Replace Seat covers on CF800?
September 24, 2015, 09:42:50 AM
 >:(
After only 2 days, we got our first damage to the new CF800.  The Kids were driving around the property and ran over a branch that swung up and (somehow) put a 2" puncture in the side of the rear passenger seat.   First of all,  we are glad that nobody got hurt, and it did serve to reinforce my overprotective preaching on safety and need for protective gear when riding.

Anyway, now I have an ugly 2" hole and a chunk of foam missing.  I was a little surprised as how easily the seat was damaged.  Closer examination of the vinly shows it certainly is not the best material that CFM could have used.

So, I am now looking at better quality, marine grade vinyl to re-cover the seats.  Of course, I want it to be nicer than stock, without looking gawdy or home-grown.

Anyone else re-do their seats yet?  My wife had done a fair amount of upholstery work and has a nice sewing machine that's up to the task.  It would be nice if somebody had the patterns for the seat covers, but I am sure we can handle it once the seat is apart.

CForce 800, X8 / Solid Aluminum A-arm suspension?
September 24, 2015, 09:32:08 AM
One of the things that attracted me to the CF800 ATV I just purchased was the Aluminum A-arms on the suspension.  Just from my observation, it seems to be the only CFM vehicles with this feature.

I was just wondering if anyone had a take on the relative benefit of the solid aluminum parts vs the welded tube-steel versions?  Just from outward appearance, they look stronger, but It hard to tell for sure how they stack up to the others.  Any why the ZF/UF 800 models don't have the same engineering?

Why is the CF800 the only model with this feature?

So heres the 'official' Newbie post!   Yesterday we purchased a new 2015 CForce 800ESP from the dealer down the road.

We have recently purchased home on 8.5 acres of wooded property right on the Santa Fe River in High Springs FL.  My primary objective was a work vehicle for pulling a utility trailer and our Kayak Trailer around our property.  Since I brought in home yesterday,  my four older kids have been having a blast riding the trails around our property.  There is really just one existing trail that went down to the river, but they seem to have found a few others that might have been deer paths that can be exploited for more fun.

Anyway,  I was glad to find this forum.  I do most of my own work, so I will me posting back here as I get to know this thing.

Some initial thoughts/questions..
1) Does anyone have a pdf owners manual or service manual?  The dealer gave be a handful of pamphlets, but nothing that resembles an owner's manual.

2) How do you get the seat off and/or check the oil?  The rear seat seems like it might just "pop" off, but I hate to go yanking on it and break something.

3) Dealer said to bring it back at 100hrs for initial service.  But he was not real specific about what was involved, or if that was more than just an oil change.

4) I hear a creek or squeek in the suspension/bearings when rolling.  Is that normal,  or just break in?  If this was a new car,  I would be right back there complaining already.

Hey folks,  I am getting real close to making my mind up between a new CForce 800  (ATV) and a New Polaris 570 X2 (or touring model).

I know the pricing on the CFMotos are pretty good,  but want to know where the typical price point has been.  Not too many dealers around me.

I know the value is there,  but also know depreciation will be steep, so I NEED to make sure I am not overpaying for this!

Thanks..

I started (seriously) shopping for a new ATV/UTV this past weekend.  After some web searching I visited three dealers near me.  I had might sights on a Polaris Sportsman 570 X2.  We stepped into the nearby Arctic Cat dealer and saw our first CRMoto products.  Honestly, they looked very impressive based on price and features.

We went on to look at the Polaris and Honda offerings.  Honestly, on sat afternoon, I was VERY closed to buying.  My indecision about which model was what put me off to do some more research.

Seems like a fair amount of brand haters throwing mud against CFMoto,  with a few horror stories thrown in for good measure.  One of the other ATV forums, did not even surface up a reply on the CFMoto topic I posted for feedback.

So if anyone is here and watching the forum.  Try to talk me into (or out of) buying one of these.

Right now my favorites are: the CFORCE 800EPS  and the UFORCE 800.   I like the idea of a V-Twin motor, although I have not ruled out the smaller 500 ATV.

Of course, my concerns are quality, parts availability.
