So when I was replacing my exhaust pipe this weekend I found a anti-freeze leak when I removed the rear hatch above the motor. I tried to tighten this bolt but it just spun and never tightened. What is the purpose of this, is it some type of cooling system bleeder? Should it tighten?

ZForce 500/550 / Exhaust Pipe Broke in Half
July 25, 2021, 08:27:06 PM
So was riding today and all of a sudden the exhaust was extremely loud on the 2017 Z500, thought I lost a spring or two. Not the case, inside the heat shield the exhaust pipe broken into two pieces. Easy enough to remove, could not get the oxygen senor to come off however. So, replace with factory exhaust or aftermarket? First time for me that I am looking for a replacement part, machine has been great with no real issues up to this point. Tried searching the forum for this topic and not too much came up.

ZForce 500/550 / Z500 Power Steering Leak?
April 18, 2021, 09:51:58 AM
So I noticed with first ride of the year yesterday my EPS was stiff for the first minute of riding then started working fine. I also noticed what appears to be fluid leaking from the power steering box (see picture). No EPS error lights on the dash are lit. I assume these are sealed pumps with no access to fluid? My assumption is this is a leak of some sort however I also had mice nesting in my hood storage compartment over the winter in storage. There was so much piss (looked like black oil) in the storage compartment and it was draining through the drain slot and was dripping right onto the EPS unit. So I am unsure if this is power steering fluid/grease or mouse piss.

General Discussion / Survey: Valve Adjustments and Miles

I know what the manual says ... but just curious as to what your mileage was for checking valves and if they needed to be adjusted. I know most of you have the 800's, I have the 17' Z500.

I should become a salesmen for CFMOTO LOL.... only one I could find at the Gladwin ORV Fest was mine, but there may be more next year! Talked to lots of people about my Z500 Trail and how much I loved it! Even had to use 4 wheel Lock for the first time. No issues getting through the mud hole!

ZForce 500/550 / Fuse Block Z500
July 19, 2017, 11:36:13 AM
I have looked three times so far and cant seem to find it. So I know its located by the steering column, however I still cannot seem to locate it. Is it accessible from the interior, can you see it if your looking up from say the gas / brake pedals? Or do you need to access it from under the hood / storage compartment. From owners manual ... The fuse box is located in front of the steering column.

Seems maybe there are more active posters on the two larger facebook groups ... CFMOTO Owners and CF Moto USA Power Syndicate. Would be nice if they posted here as well. Always preferred forum sites over facebook groups myself. Have any of the admins posted this forum link on these facebook groups?

General Discussion / Insurance in Michigan
June 07, 2017, 01:51:58 PM
So looking to find ATV/SxS insurance in Michigan, specifically Central / Northern Michigan where it is legal in most counties to ride on the road (only county roads). I have checked with the following agencies, and have commented on each. For Michigan riders ... who are you insured with?
Nationwide - Price was good, no exclusions for riding (verbally by phone agent), trying to get this in writing. - Right now this is my ist choice to sign with.
Progressive - Excludes / restricts on road riding unless you are just crossing the road to get to a trail system.
Liberty Mutual - Excludes / restricts on road riding unless you are just crossing the road to get to a trail system.
Rider - Covers riding on Legal roads (I assume they would cover riding on county roads since it is legal). Was really expensive insurance.
Geico - Will not quote Michigan online or over the phone. Have to request an application be mailed to the house. Talked to an agent, he stated it was because of Michigan insurance laws (only provider that could not provide quote so far)

General Discussion / Last Chance for Recommendations on Zforce Trail
May 18, 2017, 12:48:43 PM
Been reading posts in all categories ... I have narrowed my side by side purchase to the CFMoto Zforce series over the wildcat or rzr. Now trying to decide between 2017 Z500 or Z800. I understand the new 500HO is approx 10% more hp and 13%more torque than the older 600?
I am an older rider who does not hot rod around the trails, so my belief is the 500 should be fine. I have test drove only the 500, will be going back for another test drive before purchase where I will attempt to test both 500 and 800.
Excellent forum!
