Sadly, after 2 years of owning a 2022 400, I am learning from the manual that all oil change videos for 400 are incomplete... the manual says this also has to be done:

5. Remove the crankcase sump cover fasteners 2 and filter
cover 3 .
6. Remove the crankcase sump filter, wash it in solvent, dry it,
and reinstall with the cover and fasteners. Tighten the fasteners
to 7.3 ft-lb. (10 N•m).

THAT is that weird looking thing around the oil drain plug....

What gives? What are we all missing?

Recently changed the engine air filter and saw a 12 inch tube behind it with and open end on the right.

What is it?

Hey. Does cforce 1000 gen2 2023 have a wet clutch?

While we're at it, do you also know if cforce 400 2022 have a wet clutch?

Thanks

Can anyone please describe with details? Where is it, how high on a stock bike?

Just wondering how deep would the water have to be for me to worry about mud getting into the CVT and having to open the cover to clean it out.

Second question... I assume the CVT has a little drain hole and it will only let water out, not in, correct?

Usually normal 14-15 volt charging is shown on the dashboard but recently it started switching from my odo or trip display to voltage by itself (without me asking for it) as if trying to get my attention. So i recorded a video and noticed when it jumps to voltage, it momentarily shows over 16 volts. 16 or 16.1v.

Is this a complex repair or something simple? Bike is 8 months old.

Hey guys, had another stresful trip for a while, even though my machine is not even 1 yr old.

For the first 30 minutes, when I started it up and switched to trip display or anything else, the thing constantly went to voltage after a few seconds.

I tried and tried to keep it at ODO or trip or whatever and it would go to V after a short time no matter what.

It freaked me out, i was afraid it was pointing my attention to some charging issue. Anyone know? It stopped doing this after 2 hrs of riding. Was back to good and stayed at whatever it was.

Manual does not mention anything. Is this a dashboard having a new glitch or it tries to tell me something?

HELP! Brought a brand new cforce 400 home. Started the engine and it ran for 1 minute, i try to drive it dies. Light on dash flash and it comes back to life and i can restart the engine. Same thing a few times.

After few more of these. Electrical power is all lost. Comes back by itself 30 seconds later and i can restart. Dies again, no power. Total ghost problem.

Where to look? Battery connections are OK. Now it has been dead for 20 minutes and not coming back to life by itself. Well it did for 5 seconds, dash lit up and dead again.
