i have a 2022 z800 trail. 300 easy miles on it. No water/mud. A few days ago it wouldn't crank over. As i've done a few times before, i forgot to press the brake before starting. Well, i pressed the brake and still no cranking over. The dash display lit up and i had lights, just wouldn't crank over. Tried neutral..nothing. Messed with the shifter...nothing. So i just sat there for about 5 minutes disgusted as hell. Decided to try again. Pressed the brake first this time, and it cranked right up. I been goin out every day since and have not had any more problems. Its been starting fine. My question..... Do you think i might have a mechanical problem, or could that situation be called operator error?

General Discussion / Fill to Spill? or Fill to Spec?
November 27, 2022, 10:49:15 PM
Seems to be a lot of different opinions on weather to fill to spill, or go by the book when changing the front and rear diff oils. My whole life i've done fill to spill on all the gear boxes i've come across. Of course i'm old so my ways might be obsolete. I have heard cfmoto used to say fill to spill but then changed it to less? If so, anybody know why? Anyway, how many do the fill to spill and how many go by the book? Has anyone noticed any difference in performance by using either method?

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Transmission oil suggestion?
November 05, 2022, 12:57:20 PM
Gettin ready to change transmission oil in my 2022 zforce 800 trail for the first time. A bit confused on the type of oil. I've narrowed it down to 75w80 valvoline full synthetic gear oil, or Maxima(side by side specific) SXS transmission oil. Any suggestions? thx..

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / New and Confused
September 20, 2022, 07:57:02 PM
Hello folks... I bought a new 2022 cfmoto zforce800 trail last saturday (sept. 17th) Absolutely love it so far. Since i'm going to attempt most of the maintenance myself, i decided to see if i could find some youtube videos of the procedure. I found a very interesting post. Seems the new 2022 zforce 800,s came out with a new engine and cfmoto failed to let anybody know? In the manual i got with mine, it shows to remove the passenger seat, remove the cover and locate the engine oil dipstick. Well, there's a dipstick there, but evidently its for the transmission. The engine oil dipstick is on the passenger side back by the rear tire. 2 dipsticks. So does the transmission oil stand alone and need changed too? The manual i have says nothing about 2 dipsticks or transmission oil change. Also, evidently if your clutch cover is plastic....you got the newer engine. Now, i'm brand new to the side by side thing so i can only tell you all what i heard. At this point, i just need to know if i need to change the transmission oil. I called the dealer and wanted an updated owners manual, and now THEY are confused as me and said they would get back with me. Anyone know anything about this? thanks...
