ZForce 500/550 / 4 point seat harness
September 26, 2022, 07:52:44 PM
I'm going to replace the stock seat belts with a 4 point seat harness. Question I have is once I remove the stock seat belts how do I fool the system into thinking the stock belts are locked in? I know there are seat belt over rides available but does the 500 require one?

ZForce 500/550 / Zforce 500 shifter

Well I got my starting problem fixed and took it to Colorado and Utah for a couple weeks of fun and frustration. The 500 ran great and once I got the suspension setup correctly I could run like a bat out of hell on the dirt roads. BUT...the first day we got on a gnarly trail we shouldn't have been on. It was nothing but large rocks. Thus in the process of shifting from high to low I lost the ability to shift to low gear and thus smoked the drive belt a couple times. I am assuming I can remove some interior panels to access the shifter linkage and pray an adjustment is all I need. Question is has anyone had this problem and if so what was your fix?

I've read several won't start posts but my issue seems to be different. I had a new keys made and wanted to verify it would work. I cranked the machine...it started...I immediately cut it off. Inserted the other key and it worked. But the machine sounded like it wanted to start but didn't. I pulled the plug and it was wet. I cleaned it and verified the gap but no start. So I called a couple friends over. We verified it had fire and fuel. Took the injector out to make sure it was spraying correctly...it was. Removed the air filter and checked it...almost new. Oh...machine has 400 miles on it and was dealer serviced at 300. We tried to crank it with no air filter...no luck. BUT...We are getting exhaust out the intake. So...we checked the valves to insure they are closing on the compression stroke. They are and have good clearance. But it acts as if it is firing 180 degrees out. So I replaced the crank position sensor...no luck. Checked the fuses...good. Flipped kill switch several times...no luck. I'm out of options...any ideas.
