Hi All,

I'm a newbie, so point me to threads I may have missed that address this.    I've found 2 options for 800 EX door inserts:

•   SuperATV aluminum (they claim only fits 2018-9, but I've seen reviews that say they fit 2020-21 as well).
  
•   Mattas Motorsports

Both seem to attach to the plastic parts of the partial door and not to the metal frame within.   It seems to me this would be susceptible to breaking – pulling out of the plastic if the door opened into a rock, or limb jabbed into the closed bottom part of the door.   Does anyone have experience with these as to how well they hold up?

The SuperATV set seems more sturdy in that the lower door plate extends well up the inside of the upper door (but still attaches to plastic screw holes).   I wonder if drilling holes thru this lower door plate into the metal door frame bars would resolve my concern.   The con to this product is the fit is very loose with 3 / 4 inch space around the bottom of the door – most people add weather stripping to resolve it – does this work ?

Anyway, thanks for sharing any experience with these or providing any other options I've not found yet.
