February 17, 2022, 01:37:42 PM
I saw on here somewhere where you could replace zforce steering rack with one from a rzr . Bought on but the connecting rods are male left hand thread and I need female to go on tie rods . Can I remove from steering rack on mine and put on rzr rack .I haven't started yet just wondering before i tear things apart .Thanks

ZForce 500/550 / Why did I wait so long
October 03, 2020, 12:20:36 PM
Just installed a set of Bandit springs on my 2016 500 zforce with 6000km . Have tried every setup for shocks but without much success. Have only been out for a small ride for about an hr but quite a difference . Does it ride smooth ; NO but at least I had all my filling in my teeth when I got home . Just wish I had done it a few years ago .

ZForce 500/550 / MIL4 light
September 26, 2020, 08:46:27 AM
My mil4 light is flashing there is no pattern to just steady flashing . Any info I have says it should flash in a sequince to let you know the code number . The only thing I have noticed is that after it is warm it starts a little hard sometimes but always starts

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / MIL4 light
July 19, 2020, 04:03:23 PM
Anyone know how to clear the MIL4 light from flashing .It has been doing it since I had the exhaust off to repair it AGAIN .When I did this I unplugged the O2 sensor and had the key turned on a couple times to check something else so I am guessing the that it what set the code. In the manual it says it will blink if fuel system trouble or history error codes not erased . Hate to have to take to dealer just to clear code . By the way it is a 2016 zforce 500 . Thanks

ZForce 500/550 / New belt
June 28, 2020, 05:03:47 PM
Just installed a new ultimax 483 belt on my 2016 500 zforce with the clutch set at c1 . Have only driven about 60km bike works fine but when I try to shift it seams to bind like there is pressure on it . If I shut it off it will shift fine . Hoping that after I drive it a bit things will work into place ,it's such a BIT#$ to get at the clutches to check things there . According to the info I can find the 483 belt is 1/32 of an inch longer than stock and the same width .

ZForce 500/550 / Front diff
June 15, 2020, 04:11:09 PM
Thought my front diff went out . Was a hole at the bottom pass side . Took it apart and 1 crown gear bolt fell out and 1 was half out the remaining 4 were loose enough to almost take out with my fingers bike 4 years old with 5600 km . I know everyone says to check every bolt when they are new and periodically after but this is a little much . On my way now to get a buddy to weld it now . Everything else inside looks fine .

Had to remove exhaust to repair crack so instead of removing O2 sensor I unplugged it from harness when I started it the light next to P flashes . I'm guessing it's because I unplugged O2 . Wondering where the plug in for the OBD reader goes  Yes the O2 sensor is plugged back in

ZForce 500/550 / Clutch setting
May 18, 2020, 05:33:21 PM
Does anyone know the stock clutch setting . My belt exploded this weekend and when taking the secondary apart there was tension on the spring and when I gave it a tap you might say it came alive and in doing so popped out slots so I'm not sure of the settings. THANKS

Exhaust header broke again .It broke once under warrenty and was replaced ; cracked again! What I am wondering is to remove the bolts from the head and O2 sensor should the header be cold or warm It is a 2016 z 500

General Discussion / Fuses under seat
September 02, 2019, 06:26:29 PM
If you haven't done it yet take the cover off that cover the two 40 amp under the seat clean them up and add dielectric grease  or some water proof so yours won't leave you stranded like mine did . They aren't sealed very well considering there location .  Mines a 2016 force 500

ZForce 500/550 / Exhaust broke again
June 25, 2017, 03:28:58 PM
When my bike was in getting the oil in air filter fixed dealer replaced the complete exhaust ;said it was cracked @ 1600km . Now the bike has 2100km and it is broke again [bad this time ] Also all the suspension bushings are gone and I grease every trip . I told the dealer I think part of the problem is the bike rides so rough. I have backed the springs off as much as I can and tried to adjust the shocks several times but it really does not make any difference .My son in law got me to go with him ; he put new bighorns on his 2012 rzr 800 and he thought it rode alittle rough . I told him if I could get mine to ride half as smooth I would do the dance of joy . His is not a sport model just a stock rzr .

Any ideas

Thanks

Moved my CVT air intake on weekend and thought it might work for my airbox . Used 2" ABS and I think it came out OK . Turned the rubber 90* and cut a hole behind the pass seat . The only way it would fit is because my wifes seat is slid ahead ,if the seat was back then 1.5" is all there is room for. Just put the stock sock on for now ,will find a filter later .It should get more air because the stock tube is restricted something crazy

General Discussion / CF Canada
March 11, 2017, 09:51:25 AM
I like my zforce 500 but have had some major issues . It seams Cf Canada needs to step up there game if they want to play with the big boys .They have to realize the customer comes first and it only takes 1 unhappy customer to  ruin the sales of about 20 or more bikes  They also have to stand behind there dealers

ZForce 500/550 / New motor
December 11, 2016, 10:22:20 AM
My never ending story seams to keep going on . Awhile ago I posted that my 500 zforce was putting oil in air box ; thought the problem was solved but it still is putting some oil in the air box .I have been at the dealer for a more permanent fix and they have been at Cfmoto Canada (they have shown me all their emails) During all this I noticed when I backed out of my shed you could here some clunking also could here it if you were starting ahead very slowly . Talked to dealer and they said they had to set the clutches and they had one in the shop they had just done ;they let me back it and it was fine .Took mine to them and after the fix they went to back it out and it was binding .THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHOT !  After some work the dealer managed to get me a complete motor  . The only problem it is on a slow boat from China ( pun intended ) . Has been 2 months and still waiting . Dealer has been good have lent me a demo a couple times . Way beyond frustrating !

General Discussion / Water in air box
October 01, 2016, 03:28:39 PM
Had my 500 zforce out for the first time in the rain last weekend and when I got it out today I checked the oil and removed the plug at the bottom of the air box and was very surprised at the amount of water that drained out . We were out almost all day in the rain but with no water crossings or deep water holes . I run with a half windshield so I do get a fair bit of water in my face but even still I could not believe how much water came out . I guess that is all the more reason to do the snorkel kit I was thinking about  for a winter project

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Body pins
August 04, 2016, 07:17:14 PM
Can someone tell me how to remove the plastic pins that hold a lot of the panels together without destroying them . I know that you are suppose to remove the centre then pull them out ,so far I have managed to get one out and not totally ruin it .
