So I tried to post twice already with a video, never went through, I got a 21 cforce 600 I picked up needed a rebuild after the last owner swamped it bad. Everything went fine and ran well, after a month or so it started making a loud buzzing noise from the left side, so I figured it was stator related, took it apart and it was fine, charging at 14.2 and not coming apart and nothing rubbing on flywheel. Only other thing I saw in there is the one way bearing for the starter so I replaced it. No change. It's only at first startup and lasts a couple minutes and stops but very loud and annoying. I wish the video went thru. It also may be temperature related because the one time it didn't do it was the 1 warm day we had here in mass. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks

ZForce 500/550 / 21 zforce 500 engine rebuild
November 25, 2025, 11:22:22 AM
Hi guys, my brother got a hell of a deal on a 21 z500 knowing it needed an engine rebuild, only thing is that he's getting mixed info when he searches for parts, does anyone know if a 21 is a year of its own or are the engine internals all the same? I was under the impression they were the same 17-22 or 23? Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance and happy thanksgiving to all

General Discussion / Control arm bolts
January 21, 2023, 01:55:13 PM
17 zforce trail control arm bolts spin very slowly with impact but won't budge, tried a little heat but made no difference, any suggestions? No way of getting a swing at the nut side

General Discussion / Cold starting
December 27, 2021, 08:10:02 PM
Hey guys, hope you all had a great holiday. I know I've read a couple posts on this but not sure if anyone had a fix. We have 3 cforce 600 and 1 500Z in our family, one 2019 600 two 2020 600 and the zforce is a 17. The 500 fires right up no matter how long it sits or whatever the temperature is. All of the 600's will crank all day long and will not start unless the key is cycled 3 or 4 times as soon as the temperature drops or if they sit for a week or so. Once they start they're fine. I don't understand, key on fuel pump runs then shuts off, that means there should be fuel pressure, why won't it start unless cycled? Not really a big deal but the wife just don't get it, I can see me buying a starter soon if she keeps it up, thanks in advance for any ideas or fixes

General Discussion / 2020 c600 primary noise
May 25, 2021, 07:38:17 PM
Hey all, lately I've noticed an annoying rap like sound getting louder, I can hear it all the time now except at high rpms, I was confident at the beginning that it was the clutch but the other day I started second guessing that theory, so I pulled the primary clutch and fired it up, and sure enough, no noise at all, but what I don't understand is why? I have 4 cfmotos in the family and they all make a little noise (from the primary) but nothing like this. I'll try to post a video of it running when I had it apart to set the valves, you can't miss the noise, it only has 600 miles on it and I did put heavier weights in it but I see nothing wrong, loose or dirty, there's not much to these. Any ideas? Or just drive it and enjoy it? Still works perfectly

Pictures & Videos / Vinyl wrapped the Zforce

What a pia, didn't realize how many nooks and crannies there are until you wrap one. Good learning experience, it's definitely a 10 footer. Overall I like it

CForce 600 , X6 / 2020 c600 clutches and tires
January 06, 2021, 05:58:14 PM
After messing around with pennies I figured out I needed a set of 14g weights for the primary clutch for a lower rpm engagement, it was just a bit too low (could hear the secondary moving at idle sometimes) So I carefully drilled each weight down to 13.5g. Perfect! I had already set the secondary on c1 but I felt it needed more, so I went to a2, because I also upgraded to a set of, lets call them affordable 27" sunf tires. I'm actually pretty impressed with them for the money, pretty stiff sidewall on them though I'm only running 3 1/2 lbs in them and it rides nice, so far so good. Anyways I got it back together after work and took it for a quick ride out back, wow! This thing does 0-32 in about 2 seconds but then it takes a while but I did hit 50. I'm gonna run it this way for a while because I mainly just do some trail riding around here in the snow in the winter and I think it'll be fine for that, but I do think I'll go back 1 setting to b2, which I skipped over, I think it'll be perfect then and mabe I'll leave it alone, mabe. My 2 kids got together and got me that cool rival front bumper for Xmas, I really like it. That's it, just letting some other owners know what I've been trying and what my opinions are

General Discussion / Is this possible?
October 03, 2020, 10:56:29 AM
Still curious on the rpm issues on these 2020 600's, pulled it off and weighed the slider weights, 10G's? That would explain a lot if most others come with 25G's, am I missing something here??

CForce 600 , X6 / Bad mileage?
January 12, 2020, 07:48:45 AM
So my wife has 40 miles on her c600 since Xmas and has used close to 7 gallons of gas, keep in mind we're in our 50's and like to have fun but don't drive like animals, my z5 will go forever on that amount of fuel. No smoke, no running issues, just using a lot of fuel in my opinion, also pulled the cap off to look how much was in there because the light was flashing and the gas looked like it was boiling very fast. Sound normal? Thanks

ZForce 500/550 / Z500 springs
January 09, 2020, 08:15:20 PM
Hi guys, I ordered a set of 4 medium bandit springs for my Z500 for $199 plus &20 shipping I couldn't resist trying it vs the cost of a nice Elka setup or equivalent, just wandering if anyone has installed a set on a 50" machine and if the cf shock works any better with them? Saw a guy on YouTube that installed them but never got to see him test drive it, any input is appreciated, thanks

Introduce Yourself and Your Ride / 2017 zforce 500
March 06, 2019, 09:48:09 PM
Hi all, new to this forum, although read a lot and learned a lot from you guys I haven't had to chime in yet, but now I have a problem that I haven't read about yet, I have a 2017 zforce 500 I bought 1/15/18 so I am now out of warranty, had a few issues fixed with no questions asked, but now I have no power after 25-30 mph, almost like throttle is only opening half way, no balls off the line either, new drive belt recent, and was at the dealer not too long ago for a front diff that exploded, probably not related, have checked throttle cable adjustment three times and looking for any suggestions, any help would be appreciated, thanks Dan
