I'm just about to the point where I'm gonna pull the trigger on a 950 trail.  I already have a 66 inch plow and push tubes, so all I will need is a mount.  It will be either a 23 or 24 G2.  Any experiences you can share will be useful.  I used my plow with a RZR 900 trail and it worked great.  Any suggestions for a source on the plow mount would be good too.  The mount on my RZR was a KFI.

That's a really nice setup.  I wish I had the skills to build it, but I don't.  I also am not interested in a cab over rack.  I would rather keep my side by side in the bed of the truck if I can.  If I had good metal working skills, I would try something like your setup.  Congrats on a very nice and thoughtful fabrication.

I started out with wire cable, but later switched to synthetic rope.  It was the synthetic rope from Harbor Freight.  I used it a lot and I didn't change out my roller fairlead.  I used it so much plowing snow as well as other tasks that I finally broke it.  I tied it together and kept working, but I got a new synthetic rope when I got a chance.  I will also be getting a non roller hause.  I will not go back to wire rope.

Thanks to all of you for your timely replies filled with great advice and information.  The hitch extensions I've been looking at say that they have a 3500 lb. capacity.  That is more than twice the tongue weight I will have using my camper.  I should be ok with that.  I just need it back enough to keep my tailgate from contacting the tongue jack or anything else on the camper.  I'll have to do some measuring to make sure I have enough clearance.  I won't use any longer extension that I really need to.  Again, thanks to all of you for the wonderful advice.

I'm seriously considering a Zforce.  It will either be a 2022 950 sport (60 inch wide) or a 2023 950 trail (50 inch wide).  I have a utility trailer which I can easily load and haul either machine in.  However, I will sometimes want to take my camper along.  My tow vehicle is a 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500 with a 6.0 gas engine.  It is a crew cab model with a long bed (97.4 inches).  My current side by side is a RZR 900 trail eps.  It will fit in the bed and I can raise the tail gate partially up and secure it with a couple of straps.  That leaves ample space to hitch up my camper and bring everything with me.  The truck has an almost 4K payload capacity and a 13K towing capacity.  My 39.6 foot camper weighs in at about 8500 - 9000 lbs ready to camp.  My problem is that the RZR is an 80 inch wheelbase whereas either of the two cfmotos I'm looking at have a 90 inch wheelbase.  I won't be able to raise the tail gate at all.  It will have to stay flat.  I can get a 7 inch hitch extender and tailgate supports to strengthen the tail gate and also extend my hitch enough to still hitch up my camper and leave the tailgate down without it touching the tongue jack even in a turning situation.  I'm just wondering if any of you have tried this type of setup.  I would appreciate any advice you all can give me about this.  I also have a pretty decent set of ramps and they handle my RZR just fine.  Also, do any of you winch your side by side up into the bed of your truck or do you just drive it into the bed.  I've always driven my RZR into the bed, but have been thinking about setting up a way to use the winch.  Any advice I can get on this issue will also be greatly appreciated.

I visited a dealership today.  The salesperson I spoke with was a very nice person.  I learned quite a bit from him and I also got a chance to speak with the service manager about the evap canister issue.  He did indeed confirm that CFM has rerouted the hose and (I think) canister to a different location that is less susceptible to getting water, mud, dust etc into the airbox and thus directly into the engine.  The service manager said that this change was done in 2021 although he had to reroute a few of the earliest 2022's to the new location.  They didn't have any 23's in stock, but they had several 22's and the rebates that are listed on CFM's website were confirmed as available.  He gave me an out the door price on a 2022 sport version.  It was in the neighborhood of of 14800.00.  As I said, that is including taxes and all fees and including the rebate.  I also obtained copies of both the 2022 and 2023 brochures.  It was interesting.    The dimensions and weights of both the 800 trail and the 950 trail are identical.  The dimensions on the 950 sport are also the same except the sport model weighs only about 40 pounds more.  The length of the 950 HO EX are 2 inches shorter and about 120 pounds more than the other three versions.    Also, both the 950 trail and 950 sport are rated at 85 hp while the HO EX model is at 90hp.  It looks to me like the 800 trail models are the same as the 950 trail and 950 sport.  Same exact chassis but different engines in the 950's.  Someone had posted that the tubing on the 23's is square.  I couldn't confirm that since they didn't have any in stock.  I will be giving all of this a great deal of thought and I thank those of you who have given advice.  It is valuable to me.  As for the gentleman who mentioned that the evap system can be deleted, I had read that before, and it think it would be a good idea to do.

I would speak to a dealer.
I cant speak across the product range but I do know that my 2022 800XC had the factory delete on the evap canister.
As in the factory realized they were a problem and deleted them pre ship out - but that is just one model that I have experience with.
The Dealer should be able to inform you far better on that concern.

I would also check reviews on DEALERS themselves.

A lot of problems I have read about before and since buying my CForce seem to be directly related to the DEALERs pre sale assembly and integrity of service.

Thanks for the reply.  I do plan to visit a dealership today and ask that question.  Almost everything I've read about the 950 is positive except this evap canister issue.  But I've read the stories of real disillusionment from owners whose machines were destroyed by it and CF not fixing it.  I don't want to go down that road.  Polaris isn't perfect either.  My RZR had several recalls, but none of it cost me any money or time off the trail.

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum.  I'm here because I'm about to lose my beloved RZR 900 Trail EPS in a divorce.  I won't go into the details about that.  I'll be honest, I'd love to have another new RZR Trail.  Mine is a 2015 and it has been trouble free since I bought it new.  However, I'm not sure I can afford a new one.  I paid 13.5K out the door for it in '15.  A new one about like it would run about 19 or 20 K out the door.  So, I'm looking at the Zforce 950, maybe the trail version but no wider than the 60 inch model.  I've read as much as I can find and watched reviews and I'm impressed.  However, I was reading on the 950 forum here, and I'm really concerned about the evap canister issue.  It seems to me that this issue has been the ruin of a number of otherwise excellent machines.  My question is:  Has this issue been resolved on the 2023 machines?  Any light that any of you can shed on this issue would be appreciated.
