A new battery seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you guys for your input! Under load the old battery dropped to 10.1 volts.

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Very random starting and idling problems

I will attempt to explain all that I have encountered and still try to make sense.
I recently (about two weeks ago) went out to start my 2016 Zforce 800 EX. I had to jump start it but then it worked fine with no issues (Including the plow going up and down with no issues in the winch switch). Fast forward to two days ago, I went out to start it so I could plow my driveway and had to jump start it again. After letting it idle and warm up I hit the switch for the winch to lift the plow and it instantly died. When trying to restart all I got was a rapid clicking noise. I let the machine sit for a couple of hours before trying to start it again, it fired right up. Tried to lift the plow and it died followed by the clicking noise again when attempting to restart. At this point I noticed the switch for the plow was only working when running the cable out, the "in" quit working. I hooked up the remote switch and could run the plow in or out without issue.
Yesterday my wife went out and jump started it but it wouldn't idle on it's own, she had to keep the RPM's up or the jumper on the battery or it would die. I pulled the battery and it tested at 12.7 volts.
I have no idea what to try next. Thank you in advance for any help. I hope my post makes sense....

Others have had good luck with the CFM replacements as they have improved some. We do recommend doing a bypass or override switch. I have a how to in the..How To section on doing that. I have never needed it but it's nice to know if I did I have it.
I also understand that the cfmoto thermoswitch's aren't reliable. Do you recommend a replacement part?
Thank you! Turns out it was the fuse. I appreciate you helping me find it, I didn't want to randomly start taking off plastics.

Thank you for the replies! On the right side of the steering column, what plastics do I have to remove?
Thank you!

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Stupid question- fuse box location?
October 03, 2022, 07:19:14 PM
I have a 2016 zforce 800 EX. My fan is not working and I have read that it could be a fuse or thermo switch. I thought I would start by checking the fuse first but I can't find the fuse box! The picture in the manual is no help, please clue me in on the location and access for the fuse box. Thank you in advance.
