ZForce 500/550 / Shock adjustments
August 05, 2022, 09:54:15 AM
I've been reading up on shock adjustments as mine seems to be riding very rough! I plan to upgrade to bandit springs at some point but at the moment I'm just looking to do some fine tuning to the stock setup. The problem I'm having is this;
The adjustment dials are not freely turning. Seem to be full of dust and dirt and grit. Has anyone come up with an easy way to clean this so adjustments can be made easier? So you can feel the actual clicks and know for sure if you're all the way one way or the other? I can't even count the number of clicks 🤦🏻‍♂️

ZForce 500/550 / Universal Joint recommendations
July 20, 2022, 02:08:49 PM
Recently took my 2021 ZForce Trail in because there was a "rattle or chain like sound" when under load. Turns out all 4 universal joints are gone!! My question is this;

has anyone had any luck with aftermarket universals or have suggestions on replacement brands that may be better than the stock joints?

Sorry, got side tracked. My exhaust developed cracks!!! Long story short, dealer took it apart, took the pipe out and sure enough (as I told them) there were indeed crack(s)!! New pipe not in til November so they welded the cracks for now!

Ok, on to the question... just to clarify.... If I bought the 1/4 doors that are on the 800, they will fit the 2021 500 trail?

ZForce 500/550 / Dust reduction
September 05, 2021, 08:54:33 AM
Any ideas for dust reduction in the cab? I've been told doors (with lower inserts) would cut down some on the dust but when I called cfmoto dealer they said that there are no doors for the zForce 500. Odd I thought because they also said in another discussion that most 800 accessories would fit the 500 because they were basically the same body (was talking about the rear cargo box for the 800 at the time). Then I also read somewhere that the only difference between the 800 and the 500 was the engine... if they're the same then why wouldn't the doors for the 800 fit the 500?  Also spoke to a mechanic who said he thought you could use the 800 doors but there was a conversion/modification kit I would need as well? Any help would be appreciated. :)

Sorry NMKawierider, I was buried in google research and actually forgot I had posted to the forum (damn newbies lol).

Yes, it only had one relay and the switch was an all or nothing. Actually finished wiring it up last night and will post pics soon. I ended up getting a second relay, one for the front bar and one for the rear lights. I did install the gang switch on the dash and tapped into a keyed source for that. Then power from the battery to both relays. everything grounded properly and works great! :)

I tried to post pics last night but it seemed to freeze my computer and never posted anything... I must be doing something wrong  :-\

ZForce 500/550 / Accessory lighting - wiring questions
September 02, 2021, 11:25:27 PM
I recently purchased a light bar kit that came with a wiring harness that powers on 2 smaller LED lights (mounted on the back) and a small LED light bar on the front. All from one single switch. I do not like the idea of one switch powering all at once so also purchased a 3 switch gang switch (3rd switch for future rock lights).
The question is this: how do I modify the wiring harness so that it goes to the gang switch instead of one switch. I think I can install the gang switch to the dash and tap into a keyed source for the switch but also want to use the relay from the harness and am unsure how to do this. So power goes from keyed  source to the relay and then from relay to the switch?
Oh, and anyone have the wiring diagram for the 2021 ZForce 500 Trail??
