Information Center / Re: Some updates on my 800 trail

Yeah.  For the difference in price I probably should have opted for the additional plastic but the aluminum does let you know what you're going over. 😂.    I was surprised how well it fit.  Pretty easy too.  Good decision!

Thanks, would like to go up one tire size in the future but I need to put some miles on the 26's first.

Information Center / Some updates on my 800 trail

After having two episodes where my seatbelts locked up I installed the SuperATV 3 point harness.  Only problem was the harness ended up behind the seat when not in use and then hard to find.  I decided to use some velcro on the harness and seat to keep it up front.  Seems to work.
After dealing with dragging over numerous rocks here in the North East and not wanting to raise the machine I installed a Ricochet skid plate.  It is noisier than the plastic but I feel a little better.
I know a lot of you guys are pretty handy creating your own air intake systems but I went with the Warrior Riser Snorkel kit.  It came out okay but it was like putting a jigsaw puzzle together.  But a lot of fun.

Went for a night ride with our club.  My grandson in the photo was my copilot.  Foliage season up here.

General Discussion / What am I looking at?

Checked the oil in my z800 two days ago and today I noticed drops of green coolant coming out of a clear tube that is going nowhere.  Never noticed this before.  Thinking might have done something when checking the oil.  Any ideas?  Still learning about this machine.

They have both.  Some of the trails are wide enough for a car and like riding over a washboard.  Then there are the technical trails with rocks to climb (my favorite).  The trails are all well marked.  Have fun!

Third time out with the 2019 z800 they shut down the Park due to weather but not before I hit a stream bed, knocked the tire off the rim, and put two holes in the side wall. Seven miles of trails to the nearest help.  I have since invested in a spare to carry when riding alone.

Introduce Yourself and Your Ride / Carriage road
August 24, 2020, 01:24:26 PM
Hi Paulp.  Being new at this sport I am still finding mountain trails in Vermont to ride.  Everything we have road on so far are interconnecting trails in different areas.  My wife and I were riding in Claremont, New Hampshire, a couple of weeks ago and there is a Sugar River Rail Trail that runs from Claremont to Newport.  We didn't ride on that one but it sounds like what you are looking for.  You can probably find out more information on the web.  Good luck!

Introduce Yourself and Your Ride / Seatbelts
August 23, 2020, 06:59:32 PM
My wife hasn't complained yet but, then again, her belt was one of the failures 🙄. A question.  We have some narrow trails where the 60 inch sxs are not allowed.  Could you squeeze in with your 53 inch or would that be allowed?  This is the main reason that I looked for the Trail model, but the spacers look nice.

Introduce Yourself and Your Ride / Thank you

I have been following your threads on suspension setup and options available to improve ride and  maybe improve clearance.  I have managed to get a little better ride with just some tweaking.  I also had three rides where one or the other seatbelt failed to function.  So, as per your suggestion I ordered the three point harness from SuperATV and installed them.  We feel safer now.  Thanks for the tip.

Introduce Yourself and Your Ride / Hello from Vermont

Purchased my used 2019 Zforce 800 trail last December and been riding as much as possible in Vermont and New Hampshire this spring and summer.  This is my first ATV and the more I learn, the more I realize there is to learn.  I'm 72 but don't let my age fool you.  I love the speed and challenge.

Hi.  My wife and I just purchased a used 2019 zforce 800 trail.  This is our first off road vehicle.  We test rode the cforce 800 and 1000 2up and liked them but then friends and family told us that we would be happier with a sxs.  More money but I think they were right.  We decided on a trail model due to the riding environment in Vermont.  Looking forward to riding next spring.
