@NL800

Please go to Account Settings. From there, hover over Modify Profile and click on Look and Layout. You will see a Time Offset on this page. Click Auto Offset and it should populate your current time vs the forum time (forum is on Chicago time I believe). If this does not work, then you simply need to take the difference between your current time and the current forum time (shown on the page) and put it in that box. For example, if current forum time is 11AM and it is 12PM at your location, put 1 in the Time Offset box and all time calculations will add one hour to represent your time. I do not think there is a way for users to set their specific timezone, but if the offset does not work for you, let me know and I will look into a more intuitive way to do so.

Try using the photo compress app. I use it and it's free so I like that

I have added a workaround. @Jason should be making a tutorial on how to use imgur for images and embed them to the forum.

Thanks,

Just to give you all an update...

I created a bbcode to embed imgur albums and picture into your post. It is associated with the green dot on your bbc bar (above smiley faces).

To use this, simply get your album or singular pictures ID after uploading to imgur (no account needed, btw), and use the green dot button. That will insert [imgur] into your textbox. You will need to place the ID between the opening imgur and closing ([/imgur]) brackets, along with adding the type attribute. The "type" defines if it is an album or if it is a single picture.

As example:

(single picture)

[imgur type=p]gq6kZJM[/imgur]

(album)

[imgur type=a]8HD6k[/imgur]

Here is what the end result will look like

(single picture)
[imgur type=p]gq6kZJM[/imgur]

(album)
[imgur type=a]8HD6k[/imgur]

I realize this may not be ideal, but it is a work around (and a nice one once you get ahang of it, imo) until we figure out the whole attachment size thing.

I expect that @Jason will be putting together a How-To on uploading images/creating albums on imgur, along with how to post it on the forum.

Thanks,

Alex

Hey guys. I have been kind of ducking this issue due to a lack of free time, my apologies. Could you all please let me know what physical size your attachments are? Also, what is happening? Are you simply getting a blank screen once the browser completes the postback?

Regarding the avatar picture...that is definitely capped, both on physical file size and width/height.

On a side note (not to try escape the issue, because it needs fixed), I would always recommend hosting images through free services like imgur and photobucket (this alleviates the need for extra server disk space and also, in my opinion, is more presentable than a string of attached images since they become embedded images in the post).

Thanks,
Alex

We have set up google webmaster. It generally takes some time for the indexes to actually mean something.

Furthermore, we are also practicing good SEO tactics, however, it also takes a little time for that to be tested.
