You still have access to the Z 800 service manual?
had the link saved not realizing it would be pulled. Should've printed it.
Messaged you on FB had a question.
The link has a download option...just do that. Why waste all that paper. Here. Good for 48 hours. Anyone else needs it get it while you can.

Great, thanks for the info. Mine was the one that after less than 5 miles the spragg clutch went on it, I believe you may have commented on it a few years back when I first inquired about it. You have very useful videos, thanks!

I have a 2017 800 trail, was going thru some pretty deep water,(my butt got wet deep), and after about 30' I could tell it was starting to slip. Figured it was water getting into the CVT. Kept on riding, seemed to get better, would just take a little bit to get up to speed, I would take it easy to not to squeal the belt. Kept riding for about another 3 hours, few more puddles, of course. When I got home, removed the clear little plug and also the small drain bolt, nothing came out. Question is, do you think it was actually water in there and it just dried up or could there be something else? Thanks.

Do you still have the issue of popping out of gear? Mine is a 2017 800, and it does it intermittently. It was doing it consistently about a month ago, in high, going down a slight decline hill(one where you are not really using any throttle, more just coasting). Then when it did that, I needed to stop completely and re engage.

Introduce Yourself and Your Ride / VIN

Does anybody know how to determine from the VIN, exactly when a machine was made, like is there month and year in the digits?

Looking thru my just purchased Z 800, owners manual, for engine oil, it says 15W-40 SG, says nothing about the JASO MA requirement. Anybody talk to CF about that in the past?

General Discussion / Re: Overheating ??????????

What is this overheating and changing anti freeze? I just bought new Z force 800, should I be flushing it out?

Hey all, just purchased Z 800, was hoping for good things with CF. Took machine out, put 8kms  on it, started to make a tapping/loose noise, only at an idle, but, when slowing down, it would stall. When trying to start, with brake on, and in gear, would just barely turn over, and want to lunge forward. Ended up making it back to truck, loaded it, and took it back to dealer, the next afternoon. Waiting to get it back, stopped in, the next day, they said it was a bearing in the clutch assembly. Hope it is not a lemon!
