No worries. I thought of that. It just springs right back like a spring should. Adding split loom isn't a bad idea I hadn't considered though.
I just was hoping somebody knows if this is incorrect from the factory or if that's the way it is designed to be. The bottom hose has one too and it looks similar so I'm suspicious that's how they designed it, I just don't understand why. The service manual doesn't really show it.

CForce 600 , X6 / Water hose sleeve

Doing the initial break in maintenance on my 24 cforce 600 touring. I noticed in videos that there was a weaved sleeve over the upper radiator hose to protect it. Mine doesn't have that. I went investigating and find I have a long coil spring around my hose but it stops well before where it would protect against chaffing. Is this normal?
