My wife and I went looking for a 4x4 ATV last weekend, as we bought an acre in the mountains north of Boise and wanted something to help in clearing brush, help clear snow, and to ride between our property over to my sister's cabin about 2 miles away.  Everything was fine while we were looking at a 2016 Suzuki ATV on closeout, UNTIL my wife said she REALLY would rather have a UTV.  Something about when you are a passenger on an ATV the view never changes.  It was all down hill from there.  Salesman showed us the ZForce 800ESP and BOOM!  We liked it mostly because of what we would get for the price.  We won't pick it up for about a month as the one in my picture sold just as we started looking at it.  Now it gives me a month to figure out what farkles I can add (they threw in a good windshield, but we bought doors and a better front bumper).  What are the first things everyone suggests adding to their ZForce 800ESP?

Welcome and congrats. We all will tell you the first and most important thing to do is if they are still using the paper air filter, replace it before even running it with either the Unifilter we all recommend or the new CFM foam filter. The paper filters even when they don't fall apart let lots of trash get by...and that's death to any engine. The next thing is to go through it and check all suspension and component mounting bolts for correct torque. After that when you have time and the desire, a good set of tires will probably be your first real purchase.  After that is all open field on accessories. :)  Have fun, be safe, change all oils the first time sooner then they recommend and...of course...keep the wife happy.

Enjoy your new ride. Air filter and checking all the bolts you can get to is a must. The Russian doors look to be the best.

Welcome aboard. Though I don't have an UTV, I put a full skid plate on mine.

Thanks for the Heads Up on the air filter!  I use a Uni-filter on my KLR650, so will lean towards one of those.  Might also look at re-engineering the intake to cut down on noise and dust.  What about 4-point seat belts?  Are they a Nice To Have or a Must Have?  I heard stories from friends with SxS that factory seat belts get dirt in the mechanisms and stick.

I put a set in mine from SATV because the shoulder strap was killing me on whoops. And it has come in handy a couple of times so yeah, defiantly a consideration.

Even with the 4 points, you will still get dirt in there. Just bring a can of wd-40 with you. Yes I know it might collect more junk in there, but wd-40 can be used to get water out of fuse holders and is good for alot of other things when your far from home. 4 points do help keep you in your seat better and are a bit easier on your neck. 3 points love to dig in over the rough stuff.

Welcome and congrats on the purchase!!  Great wife you have to " make " you buy it. Lol
Ditto, on all that was said already, as far as the seat belts getting " stuck " they do when mud riding but a quick rinse when you get back they work like new.  I still would like to put a harness in though.

Whoot! Whoot!  The Dealer delivers our Zforce 800 Trail tomorrow.  The wife and I couldn't wait until March.  So, my wife is off tomorrow and I have to work.  Hmmmm . . . was that a cough and possible fever I am detecting.  Don't want to chance infecting any co-workers you know.  ;)

Appreciate the responses regarding the paper air filter.  When I asked the dealer about a replacing the stock air filter, he said they know about the paper air filter issue, and that they replace the paper filter with a Twin-Air filter on each new Z800 AND they do a small modification with the air intake to pull air from the center behind the seats.  SWEET!  Put on the front bumper extension last night. Putting on Rock Sliders tonight and doors on Wed/Thur after work.  We will be ready to ride on Saturday!!  I did test the off-road handling ability last night by riding over a small snow pile in our neighborhood.  Plowed right through it . . .

They are a blast. I've had mine in snow, check out my pics, mud, rain and shine.  Never a dull moment.  Going to make some rock sliders.  Just trying to find a rental place for tubing bender. I know if I buy one it's going to be an endless journey of what can I make next for it.  Lol
