Second time I'm chiming in on the "new ride" section.  The old z600 "bit the dust" for the moment so I decided to "bite the bullet" and just get a brand new one.  Local powersports dealer just happened to have a 2022 z500 available for immediate gratification.  Now I can have full control and knowledge of what happens and how it's treated.  No running this one without an air filter.

Congrats. Just make sure you do not run the CFM stock air filter...cause it's "almost" like not having one. Get the recommended Unifilter and a quality foam filter treatment...before you hit any dusty trails.

Many thanks for the heads up on the filter replacement.  I've only ridden it a bit in the yard for some break in so I'll get the new filter on order ASAP.  Luckily it has been raining here so the dust has been at a minimum.  I'll get into the air box tonight and measure everything for proper fitment.
