Pulling the switch today
« on: February 04, 2023, 08:42:59 AM »
Signing on a CForce 1000.  My first four wheeler.  Got a 20 year old Max IV, coupla Eurobikes and more toys than common sense.  I've been lurking for a while, wondering if the trade off in price is made up by corresponding quality.  Like everything else, there are far more horror stories than good ones.  More folks seem to want to share misery than success.  Now I just need to wait until riding season.  It's currently breaking cold temperature records here in Maine.

One big question though.  Looking through YouTube videos, most of the schillers out there "reviewing" spend as much time making a big deal about the schwag box as about the machines.  Personally I don't give a flying fig about a box with a hat and a couple of coffee mugs in it.  I can get those anywhere.  I'm thinking this is more because most online "reviews" are more about feel good marketing, are there any real reviews any more?

Welcome to the forum.  I have a 2019 800XC that I have been happy with, although I haven't ridden it much in a while.

I bought my 1000 overland last June and so far I'm in love with it, zero issues. The promo box you mentioned is dead and gone, that was only in like 2020 and for around 300 machines. I did 2 oil changes during break in, one at 50 miles, and at 100 miles. So far it's been going absolutely great. I did upgrade the air filter to the 2 stage foam Uni filter with outerwear sock. Facebook has more active cfmoto groups, this site is pretty dead.

I put one of the uni filters with sock on my Snowdog.  It's unreal how much snow, sawdust, leaf crap and general all around trail boogers get caught.  Good to know.
