new zforce 800 , Quebec Canada
« on: February 08, 2020, 07:08:34 PM »
New owner of a used zforce 800 2016. Spent a lot of time reading on this forum, based on what I read, I made sure to properly inspect the Z, including the fan. First ride today and the thermo switch stopped working. Thanks to the precious information I got here i knew the problem was the thermo switch. That being said , it is something I expected, i'm happy with my purchase and this machine is very fun to drive..

Welcome and congrats. Almost all of them have had at least one thermoswitch go bad...oddly mine has not. But I did install a bypass so when/if it ever does, I can just flip a switch and the fan is on. Overheating the the #2 killer of these engines. The first is that POS OE air filter. Be sure she gets or has a Unifilter.
