Hi I'm new to the forum and just purchased a 2018 zforce trail 800. Looking forward to gathering all the tips and tricks and best mods for the lil guy. I'd like to ask everyone if they have had any of the issues I seem to be having. Sloppy clutch that shifts way to early. Leaky fittings at the master cylinder and fuel injectors. And what seems to me an excessively loud and whiney drivetrain. Not just on deceleration either. Loud enough that you cant talk while driving. Also the drive terrain seems very clunky like excessive play somewhere when taking off and stopping. Sorry for the bombardment....I just cant wait to tear into this thing but don't want to if it could possibly need to go in for service..... thanks in advance

Welcome. Except for the leaking fittings the rest is pretty common complaints. The clutch is an easy fix by reclocking to C1 or B2. The drivetrain noise and play..well all have it to some degree...even my friend's RzR is as loud as our Z per my wife that rode on it. Lots of clunking too when going from any gear on ours. Run it..if it breaks... make sure it does it while the warranty is in effect. JMO

Thanks and thank you for the info. Do you know where I can find more info about the clutch? I'd like to be able to know what results will yield from the different settings. Also what's the deal with the wet clutch? Aren't these things variable clutchs?

You have a wet clutch that drives the primary or drive clutch of the CVT system much like the Yamaha's and the newer Teryx' have. In the How Tos I/we have much info on clocking including videos. We here can tell you what to expect. Right now they come on the lowest level-B1 and it feels like the family truckster/stationwagon IMO.  Bump it to C1 or B2 and you will unleash the beast within..but wait until it's broke in.

Oh I see.... so It has both.... as for the c1 or b2, which setting would be best for more power out of the hole?  I agree about the station wagon....this thing wont spin the tires on wet grass.lol

Well, you probably want to go straight to B2. In the future one extra mod for the primary is go to sliders from the rollers. More range in both directions and smoother shiftouts. But..at your elevation I would stay with the 24 or 25 gram. I run the 22s but I run from 5400-12,000 feet.
