Hello  New to the forum as well as new to the side by side scene.  Went to a dealer to look at a used Rhino and came home with a new 2016 U Force 500 EPS in camo.  Love the machine, but do have to issues.  One is the brake pedal seems awful spongy.  Brakes seems to function OK, but pedal just about hits the floor.  Searched here and found I should try bleeding the system first.  My second issue is the 2" receiver.  I have tried 3 different ball mounts and none will slide in the receiver.  I have not searched this issue here as of yet, but I did post on a FB CFMoto user page and had a reply that some have had to file the receiver in order to get mounts to slide in.  Anyone here have an this issue?

I am getting a roof for the machine, but it is on a two week back order!

Thanks!

Welcome. Yeah there is air in the brake systems of a lot of the machines from the factory. Just bleed them but be carful as the reservoirs are only good for about three pumps. As for the receiver, that was me who posted on FB about the welds and short stingers. I also have heard of some receivers not being a full 2" and that's obviously a problem so measure it and if the ID is less then 2", talk to your dealer about a replacement.

Thanks for the reply, on both pages.  I keep the machine at rural property, so next time I am there I plan to check out the reciever more in depth and if necessary ask for it to be replaced.  I will also definitely bleed the brakes, just have to pick up some fluid!

I really should bleed my brakes. But I think I just got used to how it feels.  On the Reciever, I had one hell of a time getting mine in.  So out came the BFH and after pounding it in a bit and removing it , pounding in again, repeat, and it finally went in. Figured if I'm pulling with it or need pulled, I know it's not going anywhere.  Probably even if the pin comes out lol.

And welcome to the group!  Nice ride you have there. Any questions you may have I'm sure we've pretty much addressed them all here.

I had to file the receiver where the fittings are welded or pressed in. I also filed down the hitch where where it was rubbing to get it to go in and out a bit easier.

I was able to use a piece of 2" square tube, beat it in a little, then back and forth and up and down and I was able to stretch it out so everything slides in and out fine now.
