Hi all!

New member to the forums here (from Michigan), new CFMOTO motorcycle owner, and new rider in general.

I purchased a 2022 650NK (nebula white) at the beginning of August. No fancy pictures to show, it looks just like it does on the website - but I did end up removing the 'CFMOTO' stickers from the sides. Being stickers rather than painted, I thought they looked kinda cheap.

Definitely happy with it so far. I just passed the half-way engine break-in period this past weekend (310 miles) moving up the recommended RPM limit from 4K to 6K. Feels a lot better not having to shift quite so quickly now. I'll probably be rounding out the break-in within the next week or so to get it in for its first quick service check.

I only have two complaints with it:

1) The "matte" look of the LCD screen causes it to essentially disappear due to sun glare when the sun is high up and behind you. Unless I can get my head far enough forward to cast a shadow over the screen, I can't see anything on it at all. I ordered an iPad anti-glare screen cover that I'm going to try and cut to size and see if that helps at all.

2) My speedometer is off/inaccurate by +5mph (e.g., I think I'm going 50mph, but really doing 45mph). This tested consistently following someone in front of me in a car cruising at 50mph (and me seeing 55mph), and then switching positions with me holding stable at 50mph (while the car behind me reading 45mph).

Beyond that, seems like a solid bike and good value. Hoping to get some good use out of it! Probably more so next year as the season inches closer to the end. Happy to be here and hope to engage with some other owners.

Bill

Speedometer reading high by 5 to 10 percent is pretty common across motorcycle brands.  I have had Honda’s, Kawasaki’s, Suzuki’s, A Triumph, Yamaha.,  all read high.  My friend has an NC700X that reads correctly.   Kind of a surprise.
