So heres the 'official' Newbie post!   Yesterday we purchased a new 2015 CForce 800ESP from the dealer down the road.

We have recently purchased home on 8.5 acres of wooded property right on the Santa Fe River in High Springs FL.  My primary objective was a work vehicle for pulling a utility trailer and our Kayak Trailer around our property.  Since I brought in home yesterday,  my four older kids have been having a blast riding the trails around our property.  There is really just one existing trail that went down to the river, but they seem to have found a few others that might have been deer paths that can be exploited for more fun.

Anyway,  I was glad to find this forum.  I do most of my own work, so I will me posting back here as I get to know this thing.

Some initial thoughts/questions..
1) Does anyone have a pdf owners manual or service manual?  The dealer gave be a handful of pamphlets, but nothing that resembles an owner's manual.

2) How do you get the seat off and/or check the oil?  The rear seat seems like it might just "pop" off, but I hate to go yanking on it and break something.

3) Dealer said to bring it back at 100hrs for initial service.  But he was not real specific about what was involved, or if that was more than just an oil change.

4) I hear a creek or squeek in the suspension/bearings when rolling.  Is that normal,  or just break in?  If this was a new car,  I would be right back there complaining already.

There's a C Force section on the board that covers the 800, and I saw that somebody posted a .pdf of the manual on there, but you'll have to be logged in to download it.

I don't know about taking off the seat, I've got a side by side, so it's a bit different.  I'm not sure where they put the dipstick at either, but that'll be in the manual. 

Initial service also includes greasing it up, and checking to make sure your filters are still in place, and not clogged with dust.  The grease might be part of the squeaking you're hearing, it's not unheard of for a dealer to miss a grease nipple on final assembly when they get it out of the crate.  I use TRC Crown & Chassis grease, it sticks to the parts, and doesn't get chased out by water.

Yea, I need to go grease all the suspension fittings asap.  The sales guy just told me to bring it back at 100hrs for the service.

A quick read of the manual has some other advice.  First of all, is says to no exceed 1/2 throttle for the first 10hrs and also to do an oil change at 10hrs.  Thats a HUGE difference from what the sales guy told me.

I did not see a part# or source for the oil filter.  Is this a common filter I can get somewhere other that the dealer?

The factory part # on the oil filter is 0800-011300-0004.  I think Hi-Flo makes a replacement, but I don't know what their part number is.

Hi Mark, I am on my second Cforce X8, the first a 2014 model blew up after three attempts to fix the leaking water pump, they offered me a new engine but I refused as the bike had been a lemon from day 1, anyway after quoting local consumer laws to the distributor I ended up with a new 2015 bike, they do have a couple of issues.......as I said before the water pump is well documented as leaking past the ceramic seal and needs to be fixed under warranty, if it is faulty you will see a drip of coolant under the bike or the later ones have a tube attached to the drain hole and it will fill with coolant and then drip.....take it bake if either of these symptoms appear. The steering will have a knock in it if the clamp that the steering arms attach to becomes loose, its a recurring problem and I have fixed mine myself by drilling out the hole and putting a high tensile bolt all the way through as mine snapped the bolt whilst trying to tighten, The squeal is probably the brake pads scraping on the discs...mine does that. The oil dipstick is behind the plastic pull of cover on the left hand side (as you sit on the bike). 100 hrs is ridiculous for a first service, if you did 10klm/hr for 100 hrs that would be 1000klms, I did my own at about 20hrs. I source my oil filters from China and they are a fraction of the price I would have to pay here in OZ. Oh and the seat should have a tab of material behind the passenger seat, you pull that up and the rear seat will come up as well, there is then a catch under the back of the drivers seat, flip it up and lift.

Welcome to the forum. 
If you have any water leaks, try adding more anti freeze/anti boil concerntrate to the water as this has helped with a lot of machines here in OZ. Dealer now does it on all new machines.
