Scored 2 units for $15,300 OTD in Illinois. One grey one cammo. Did I do good? Any thoughts on 1st mods? Im thinking bumpers for both and maybe storage boxes.

The stock filters are known to let 20 micron and smaller get through causing the lost of engines withing the first 12-1500 mile range in dusty conditions. Some much less. The unifilter coupled with a quality foam filter oil and proper service stops engine loss from particle ingestion. You can still loose an engine, just not from trash getting by. One word of caution is that even when using a quality foam filter treatment like Maxima FFT or Fab1 or BelRay, you will want to roll-up a few paper towels inside and get any surplus out from the inside surface...and let them dry completely before using the machine as some can be pulled-through and atomize in the intake stream. There it can coat the mass airflow/temp sensor and gum-up the Idle Air Control Valve causing running issues in time. The big thing is...save that engine...give it clean air! Unifilter is the only one we trust. And we have tested many.   

The filter socks to go over the unis are also a great idea.
I have two 800Xc and use them on both.
There is an intake inlet cover but I have found on several indications dust in the airbox anyway.
It's just one more step in protecting your bike.
Break in is important. If you are mechanically adept I have found once you learn how to pull the plastics, these machines are refreshingly easy to work on and doing the maintenance schedule isn't a problem.
Also, from personal experience I have found that a minor clutch kit will do more for your bike than many of the ECU tunes.
Most tunes are generalized tunes dependent on what someone else thinks you want and not tailored specifically to you or your riding habits.
I would also, not get sucked into MSC products.
You can find the same with better service and better deals with better results elsewhere.
CurrenRV and TTmotorsports are the primary sources of OEM parts and some basic mods.
There is a growing range of quality upgrade parts out here too, some you can find at Curren and TT and others from independent developers and enthusiasts.

I have had some issues (partially self inflicted) but neither bike has ever failed to get me home or back to my trailer.
I have spent entire days roaming the woods and sometimes getting myself into 'why did I do that situations' and getting myself out with the bike intact and a little self deprecating humor.

Great info!  I'll check them out. How is the break-in maintenence? Stealership says 200 miles oil change, valve check and make sure nothing has rattled loose. Plan to do myself. Any infor on the valve check?

The owners manual (or at least mine do) have the setting information and general schedule.
I "shot for the middle" of the specs to begin with and listened to the machine.
My 2022 800XC is almost whisper quiet.
the 2023 isn't quite broke in but its getting quieter too.
Most everything you need a 8mm and a 10mm socket too get to.
Ive followed pretty close on the schedule for break in and it's worked out well too.
