My last hoorah
« on: June 15, 2025, 03:25:20 AM »
At 68, having had a couple of heart attacks, 3 stents, a triple bypass and now a pacemaker running the show, this'll be my last hoorah before I check out. So, after a lot of medical drama over the last 3 years I'm finally almost fit enough to give it one last go.

Just in the process of buying a 2nd hand 450mt. No rush but I hope to have something sorted by the end of Aug. In the meantime, I have a Yume Hawk Pro scooter coming shortly. It's been a while since I've been on 2 wheels. 50 years to be exact 🤣 so the goal will be to stay upright until I get the hang of things again. Looking forward to it. Go hard or go home. 🤪😉

Welcome and good on ya.  Better to live life than sit around and die.  Go out with your boots on.

As for the bike..... the MT450 has been received very, very well over here in the States.   If I were a single man and only going to purchase one bike, it would be the top of my list.  But I am not a single man and my wife rides 2-up with me all the time.  The Africa Twin is a better solution for us, which is really just a bigger MT450.

I admire your forward drive. At 68 and three stents myself I'm starting to see...and feel the shorter path in front then behind. Gota do what you can...while you can. The best of luck.

I agree with the other posters here, I'm glad that you are still able to get out and do some of the things you want to. Got to keep going while you can. I hope you thoroughly enjoy the new machine when you get it.

Gentlemen,

Please as one grows wise into our stealth years of maturity we see the world differently to our younger less wiser years. This comes from a very wise and mature 69-year-old, believe that and you will believe anything in terms of wiseness of course!!!!
The body throws many challenges at us, some we can fix permanently, some we can repair temporarily, other challenges we tolerate because there is little the medical pros or we can do to alleviate the situation.
It reminds me very much of being the owner of a CFMOTO machine we tolerate these machines, new, or ortherwise. Just like our maturing bodies sometimes there is a fix and sometimes there is not.
Life in a nutshell I guess “Tolerance”, my wife would be able to write chapter and verse in a number of volumes on tolerance but sorry just have not got time for that here.
Live long, be happy, whatever you want or want to do “DO IT” there is but one life to do this in!!!!
