All my stars lined up this week. I happened to have my old Cat wheeler in town from my cabin along with the trailer, I finished up payments on a loan, I found a new OVerland 1000 near enough to me, and the wife didn't talk me out of it! So yesterday I signed the papers and took home a brand new Overland 1000 in camo. I even managed to sell my cat for exactly what I was asking for last night. I'm super pumped to get on this bad boy and take a spin. I'm also eager to learn how to maintain it and keep it running good, as I'm not the type to bring it in unless it's a problem way out of my depth.

Congratulations. They are nice.. :) Two quick tips- two extra oil changes during break-in and NO CFM air filters. Get a Unifilter and a quality foam filter treatment for it if you can. Otherwise common sense and check all the bolts and nuts.

Is the air filter situation the same as I've read about their zforce models? I see Unifilter has a specific cfmoto tab but there's only the one filter. Did they keep it one size across various models for continuities sake? Also if you have any tips on how to reach the airbox I'd be all ears. I'm guessing it's up the center hump but I don't know how to seperate the plastics to get in there.

I have no idea on the airbox on a C Force 1000. I suspect getting to it may be in the owner's manual. And I would thing they used the 2.5" flanged filters on the 1000s over what they used on the 800s and down...which was the 2.25" flanged. Pull it and take a few measurements. We have some filters listed in the Info Center section that work on the other 1000s.
