I have a NOS 2011 Z6 which has had problems from the start. Bought from a local repair shop who had bought it from a dealer.
2 times shifting timing which both times cost me +$400 to have it PROFESSIONALLY repaired.
1 more time where I did the work myself and replaced all timing chain tension parts for less than half the above. The only thing done before was just to replace the chain.
Unfortunately the machine sat for several months before I could repair it.
Caveat Emptor
I have now learned more than I ever wanted about the workings of this machine.
Currently I am trying to find the location of the ECU so I can continue following back the gremlins in the machine. I also need to know the colors of the wiring harness to the fuel pump and where the wires are located when they are hooked up.
My machine had a RED BLUE jumper going from the connector off of the fuel pump to the fuel pump relay . Unfortunately it had different color wires and simply had 2pins shoved into the connector, which came loose while I was trying to troubleshoot why the fuel pump was now no longer pumping. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the rant.
