Oh yea .. that is a nice improvement ! Kudos to whoever made the site much easier to read, and the action pics are a huge improvement over the smaller pics they previously featured.

I have to disagree on the 4 seater for the east coast.  I attend 3-4 poker runs/benefit rides a year and the 4 seaters make the trails no problem.  I would hope they keep a compact design similar to the Teryx.  I spoke with a few owners on the last ride and they said they did not have any issues.  And there were some tight places on the trail.  I later came to realize that the Teryx is only a few inches longer than the Z800.

Also, on the apparel, any plans on a riding jersey?  The shirts are nice, but will be ruined on the first ride.  You guys in MN never experienced coal region mud (aka Muck).  It is like acid.

Thanks for joining from the mothership, it truly means a lot about the brand.  I am sure if you read through the sections, you will see some of the obstacles we have endured and mostly overcame.  Still a few out there that need to be fixed at the factory.

So here are some questions I have for the experts:
- Is moving to the B2 setting on the clutch going to cause long term damage?  Everyone who does it loves the performance and think it should be set that way from factory. Thoughts?

- Rear Shocks... AHHHHHHH  I could scream at the thought of this subject.  I had a nice long conversation with Chris about them when I started asking my dealer questions he could not answer.  So what is the dilly-o about them?  Are the new rears people are getting a redesign, or simply the old shock with the helper spring removed?  I still have to tighten mine before and after a ride.

- Front Shocks.  A few of us have experienced the canister rubbing the spring.  Is there a redesign in the works?

Thanks in advance...

@ flipper, I have the "new" designed rear shocks. And it does look like they just removed the helper spring. Guess it can't rub the cylinder if it's not there. I think some have said its a couple mm further away. However,  they have been doing really well and the moaning noise from the spring rubbing the shock isn't there so I'm happy with that. Had the same question about the clutching to b2. I have a tendency to believe that it would shorten the belt life however probably not enough to notice. Guess we'll have to wait it out and see.
I think it's the company playing it safe, build it up then take it back one notch to sell to the public.

To answer a couple questions above:

1. For the clutch, feel free to change the setting without fear of damaging the machine.  If you like it in B2, run it there.  It's designed to be changed if you run bigger tires, etc., but even with a stock setup, it's fine to adjust it.

2. For the new Z8 EX rear shocks: the shock was redesigned to eliminate rubbing on the reservoir.  The angle was adjusted, and the engineers changed it from a two-spring setup to a one-spring setup.  It's quite a bit different from the original design.

Awesome,  thank you cfmotoguy for answering the questions.

Can you list the part number for the new rear shock?  My dealer owes me a set under warranty and I want to get the new design.

Any plans on changing the fronts?  Seems like more people had issues of those rubbing vs the rear.

John

New to the UTV scene and I think it is great to have someone in the USA that can explain and pass along the views that may come up on this forum. I belong to several forums and I find them really helpful to assist other members with Mods etc.
