Got in a motorcycle wreck 10 months ago when a semi pulled out across both lanes into my path last November.  Still not walking all that well so I though if I wanted to go hunting for enjoying the back country I might try an ATV.  I can ride my motorcycles fine but hiking in the woods is out of the question.  The closest ATV dealer to me sells CFMoto exclusively.  I picked a CForce 600 touring.  Took it up to the HMT and now it has West Virginia mud in every nook and cranny.

Welcome, MrFixit, from somebody who doesn't drop by often.
Before my CFMoto 400 I had an '87 Kawasaki Concours, luckily I didn't have any incidents I couldn't ride home from.
I had to search what HMT is, found this:
https://trailsheaven.com/about-the-trails/hatfield-mccoy-trails-are/
I'm 65 with near zero experience myself, and too far to make a day trip to the HMT area, but is it $50 per year for out-of-state riders? That is cheaper than 1 day riding at the ski resort near my property.
may or may not retire soon, almost eligible

Yes, and you get the resident rate if you are a military member or veteran so I got to pay that.  Lots of places to stay too.  We stayed in a beautiful one bedroom cabin with a fully equipped kitchen for less than $140 per night.
