Buying my first CF Moto in Richmond, Va!
« on: November 15, 2015, 06:21:17 PM »
Hello everyone!  I am brand new to the forum and to the CF Moto world!  I'm seriously considering buying my first Moto any day now.  I've been looking at 2-up atv's and had pretty much made up my mind to get a Can Am until the other day.  I walked into a local dealership to check out their stock and the sales rep introduced me to a 2015 CF 500 HO!  i was blown away by all of the upgrades that are standard on this atv!  After many hours of research, I can't find tons of reviews or info on them.  What are your honest opinions about this mid level quad?  Most of what I've read have been from sources outside the US.  I have a Honda currently and grew up riding those.  I'm almost sold on this 500 HO from CF Moto.  It seems like a steal at the price compared to the comparable Can Am.  To get these upgrades on the Can Am would cost thousands more!  Any feedback you guys can give would be much appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. My knowledge on the CF 500 is very limited but if they are like the rest of the CFMoto line, they are a good bang for the buck and warranty is very strong . We have some members with them and other ATVs so hang tight and I'm sure some will chime in. For just a little more the 800 2-up might also ne worth a look. They get great mileage and a v-twin that is.."very much" like the Rotax 800.

I also have been looking at the 500HO.  I have seen reviews from Australia and they are very positive. I have owned a 05 outlander max 400 for quite awhile now and I have to say it has been a rockstar and have always been able to depend on it. The 500HO is still pretty new and you may run into quarks as with any new product. With that said, I think it has alot going for it.

NMKAWIRIDER, the 500HO/550 is a different model than the cf500. Way better, I think.

Thanks everyone for the great info!  I'm glad I found this forum!  I've read tons of good info already.  I'm impressed with what I've seen in the 500 HO so far.  Seems like a great deal.  I'll definitely check into the 800 before making my purchase.  I do not want to regret whatever it is I decide to go with, so all the info is greatly appreciated!  Thanks again!

Sounds like you've got things going in your favor.  I'd love to be able to run around the country in a toy hauler with my SxS in the mobile garage and car hooked to the hauler.  That'd be the life, but a house on the trail head wouldn't be too shabby either :P.
