A new member with a new Overland
« on: June 15, 2025, 11:16:34 PM »
Hi!  Looking forward to being a part of the forum and hopefully not due to issues with my new ride: A 2024 CForce 1000 Overland I purchased as new old stock last week from a local dealer.  It has easily 25 hours on it, and had as many miles - it sat on the dealer's lawn and was probably started a million times over the past year.  Time for an oil change.
Meanwhile, does anyone know what the black square with the right angle that looks like an L below the CFMOTO on the upper left of the display means?  I promise I've read the owner's manual cover to cover and there's no mention of it.  I'm wondering if it is a "maintenance needed" indicator, and I've got the service manual on its way to me - should be here this week.

Welcome to the forum, sorry, I don't have an answer to your question. Can you change the clock display to anything else? To me that looks like a clock indicator, but that would be unnecessary if you can't change the clock display to anything else.

Hi Rapidoxidationman,

The letter "L" on your display more than likely is indicating you are in "Low" gear selection.

Put it to the test by selecting "high Gear" it should change to "H".

The big icon to the right with the "P" indicates in park, it will indicate "H"; "L" or "R" when in high, low or reverse.

As I google these dashes looking for an explanation, I see this icon as well but with nothing. One would think the owner's manual would have it.

It is neither gear indicator nor clock, and I can say with confidence that the owner's manual doesn't address it.  My factory service manual should be here on the 20th; hopefully it'll shed some light on the icon and I'll post up the answer.

It is my belief that it is just a clock icon to indicate the clock below it...like there is on other things on the dash like fuel, Temp, MPH, Miles... ect

That was my initial thought, that's why I was wondering if you could select something else to be displayed in that location.

I hit the select button and the icon remained the same.  It'd be neat if the L was actually clock hands, but it remains an L in a square.
Service manual should be here Friday...
